“The customer service alone here makes me want to stay here time and time again! Every single staff member I dealt with at the front desk and on the phone was so kind and extremely pleasant to deal with. As a solo traveler, this also gave me a feeling of safety which I truly appreciate. The rooms may be slightly outdated, but was clean and comfortable for a one night stay. The mattress was a bit softer than I prefer, but the A/C ran great and I slept like a baby all night with zero disturbance.……

“The staff were great. The room was large and spacious. The bathroom was also large with a great shower. The back of the hotel was unkept and because of that there were a few bugs in our room. It was a good value for a quick stay just 2 nights. Free wifi and a large TV.”

“The hotel wasn't even accepting reservations and Expedia booked me there. And I also paid a $9 insurance fee. Thankfully, I did not pay for my reservation in advance. I received no confirmation from the hotel or Expedia. The night before my departure, I looked for a confirmation and found nothing. I tried to call the hotel and the call went immediately went to voicemail with no outgoing message. The next day, when I arrived in the town and drove by the place, there was a huge sign out front……

“The Latchis Hotel is a wonderful step back in time. I absolutely loved the historic charm, the vintage record players and records in the rooms, and all the fascinating stories and history throughout the property. The staff were beyond helpful, welcoming, and genuinely kind during our stay. That said, guests should know that this is a historic hotel, and some modern comforts are limited. Air conditioning was minimal, and our room was quite warm despite having fans. The shower water ranged from……

“For the price this was a nice place to stay passing through Brattleboro. Everything was fine until an employee, without knocking, just unlocked our door and walked in at 10:40am and said “Check out”. Someone could have been dressing. We felt very rushed even though checkout was 11am. It took a lot of restraint to not verbally lay into the guy. Just make sure your extra locks are secured.”

“This is a wonderful modern hotel in a very center of North Adams. A view from 7th floor is picturesque. It is very clean. The room is spacious; the beds are comfortable. The pool looks good, although we didn't try that. There are a coupe of nice art exhibitions on the first floor. The coffee is good, the breakfast pastries and fruits are nice, but these are all it is for breakfast. And the road to Greylock mountain starts in 2 minutes drive from the hotel. We loved it!”
