Wonderful vacation.

Perfect size house. Location so convenient to shops, beach, walking/riding path. The owner was always very responsive and gracious. Beach never crowded and neighborhood very quiet.

Family vacation

Very nice home!

Great home and a nice, private location, with a view of the ocean. Quick walk to the beach. We liked having two full baths on the same floor as the bedrooms. Great price, too!

Our stay at Fitz By The Sea!

Our family of 5, plus one (2 adults & 4 teens) enjoyed the kids’ spring break in Corolla! The house was exactly what we expected. We enjoyed the main bedroom on the upper level & the other bedrooms downstairs. The house was the perfect size for everyone to have their own space and big enough for us to hang out play games, and watch movies on those rainy days!

Loved every minute!

This was our first trip to Corolla & the Outer Banks and I could not have felt more fortunate than to have found Fitz by the Sea! The house is ideally located within a five minutes walk to the beach, grocery, AND a Duck Donuts. It has all the amenities you need for a week away. The owners were prompt (& friendly) in answering any & all questions I had. Already planning our trip for next year!

Last hoorah

Our stay at “fitz by the sea” was an enjoyable experience and relaxing for all! We loved the quick walk to the grocery store (Harris Teeter) and other amenities we had access too. The walk to the beach was a easy five min walk with no hassle. The house was comfortable and homey. The new fans in the bedrooms made a world of a difference for sleeping! A few things we noticed was the thermostat was a little confusing and only went down to 70 degrees for AC. The WiFi in the home was interrupted at times. We would highly recommend fitz by the sea for beach vacation!!!

Spring Break Fun!

We visited as a family of four plus a set of grandparents. The house was perfect for us. The location was great and easy walking to ice cream, super wings and Harris teeter. Sadly, the duck donuts was closed for the season. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed. If you’re going with kids I’d recommend a wagon or something to help with the quick walk to the sand. I would highly recommend this house. The house is also at the end of a court so perfect for kids and bike riding.

cute cottage for our short stay

Owners have made effort to update and decorate, but it still needs a good amount of work. This is a no frills rental and needs updated cookware for sure. I received a quick response to reporting issues with the rental, but was not provided with satisfactory resolution of the wifi and appliance issues.

Fitz by the sea amazing.

Amazing time at house beautiful setting. Weather was rainy and windy but definitely enjoyed the space in out. Had myself and wife her sister and husband with there 5 girls. The only issue with house was fan/light in master bedroom and leak from bathroom between kids room and other large room. Tub drain leaks into car port area under house. Contacted owner and very quick response. Over all very great house and awesome time. Will definitely use house again in future.

Wonderful week!

This house easily fit our family of 8, and was also fine when 3 more family members and their dog joined us for a few days. The house was clean, has a great layout, and is equipped with baby gates and cabinet latches, etc. Jess was very accommodating and flexible, working with us to get details figured out. The walk to the beach is through the neighborhood and took us about 10 minutes, but we had little kids with us. It wasn't too long. I would recommend not leaving your beach wagon by the steps over the dune, however, as someone stole ours! We are already thinking about staying here again next year.

Perfect for what we needed!

My group was 8 adults plus 1 baby, we were visiting the area for a friend's wedding down the street, so we just needed something that was big enough for all of us for 1 weekend. This house did the trick! It was just the right size, the rooms were perfect for 4 couples, and the house was very clean. We had to bring our own towels, which was fine because we knew that ahead of time. When we arrived, we found that each bed had the comforter laid out, but the sheets were folded on the bed, so we had to put the sheets on ourselves.. A little odd, but I guess it's to show the sheets are clean. All the upgrades to the home were very well done, and we loved having a code for the house so couples could come and go without fumbling with keys. For the price (especially at the beginning of the summer season), this house was really great and we were so glad to have found it!

Be prepared

The house itself was good. The necessity of things was not. If you plan on cooking there be prepared for limited pans and skillets. Plenty of plates, marginal silverware, old forks, a few butter knives, one cereal spoon and a couple of tablespoons. No large bowls to make a salad. You also might bring your own dish soap and kitchen towels too. If you like a dark room, bring a sleep mask and the road can be heard almost all night if you sleep in the master bedroom. The walk to the beach is great and the beach was wonderful. So many shells to collect. Definitely would recommend taking the Wild Horse Adventure Tour which is located across from the neighborhood.

Great location but not well maintained

Location was great! Great beach access and close to grocery, restaurants, and activities! However, it does not seem like the house is well maintained. Listing requested to mention anything broken, but I couldn’t even begin to list the amount of things that needed fixed. Most notably there were loose deck boards, broken furniture with exposed nails, and one of the bunk bed railings was completely broken. Additionally the house was not very clean. Moldy food was left in the fridge and oven which smelled horrible. The house was poorly stocked, specifically lacking toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. Not sure what the cleaning fee goes towards. The house did not seem like it was cleaned and we had to bring our own towels and make the beds. Overall was fine, would not recommend for kids or anyone who could get seriously injured if they were to trip and fall, but was adequate for a small group of able-bodied adults.

Great location! Beach, stores, attractions, plenty of off-street parking.

Our first trip to Corolla! Home located on cul de sac, enjoyed early morning walks to Duck Donuts, watching sunrises from kitchen deck, sunset beach walks, kitchen/great room saw family time--watching movies, playing Switch video games, card games, meals. Bedrooms spacious. Walked minutes to beach access--private for neighborhood, stairs up & over, down dunes to absolutely gorgeous family beach(stairs access makes beach carts awkward to difficult) Loved the location for Wild Horse Tour, lighthouse, 30 minute drive to Kitty Hawk Wright Museum. Family memories were made to cherish forever. ❤️
