"Although they were booked, I didn’t hear anyone else in the hotel. Our room was spacious and we had booked for 6 but only ended up bringing 5. Most hotels don’t have that option and you have to purchase 2 rooms. We usually stay at Airb&b’s but we weren’t going to do anything but sleep because our day was busy. We checked in at 11pm. Fast check in and had breakfast in the morning around 9. "

"Exceeded expectations. Hotel was very clean. I watched the attendant clean a room, and she is very thorough. Everything is kept neat, inside and out. Continental breakfast was decent with lots of options. Only ding is only 1 ice machine, located on the 2nd floor. Overall, I'd come back!"

The bed and pillows were so comfortable and the lobby and bar area are very modern and charming. Highly recommended! "
"Everything was very nice, hot in the hallway but the room was cool and quiet.
The hotel is pet friendly but they warned that there will be a $200 fine if the pets are left unattended, we were there only for one night, but we always travel with our dogs and there are times we have to leave them in the room for a bit, so keep that in mind."

"We were two families of five (all adults) gathering for the 4th of July weekend. The house was a perfect match for our needs. Plenty of beds/bedrooms for everyone and a variety of gathering spaces throughout the house. The basement is amazing! Well stocked kitchen and bonus amenities that were not listed, like a gas grill. Host was very responsive and pleasant. The house was clean and comfortable. It was a gem of a find! The neighborhood is generally quiet, except during the 4th of July weekend. Let's just say this neighborhood likes their fireworks."

"We had a fun time staying at this house. We visited downtown Des Moines and had a great time at Adventureland. The only suggestion would be to have some dish towels in the kitchen. The arcade games, ping pong table and skee-ball were popular with the kids. "

"On a recent trip to Des Moines, we were fortunate enough to discover ESA Select Suites in Urbandale, IA. General Manager Stephen and Front Desk Attendants Marci and Drea gave us a welcome as warm as the weather outside (which, given the heat index that weekend, is really saying something!), and they were as friendly, kind, and helpful as they could possibly be. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and we particularly appreciated the full-size refrigerator/freezer. We also liked the microwave above the cooktop, which was perfect for reheating leftover pizza and making popcorn. We have stayed in places that cost twice as much and which weren't half as nice! We would without hesitation recommend this hotel, and the next time we are in Des Moines, we certainly will return. Full marks!"
