I like the price, and the staff. I never experienced bugs or dirty room at all. It was literally a crash spot for me while I was working. For the price and clean room and staff, you get a bang for your buck.

Close enough to USC for parents weekend but I wouldn't stay there again.

The rooms need to be reviewed for housekeeping errors. No bath towels and no hand soap. Light bulb needed replacing in bathroom. Both chairs in the room were either severely stained and or in poor repair. If given room 229 ask for a different room.

Ft. Jackson is really beautiful. I attended basic training and advanced individual training and returned again 25 years ago to reclassify. I only got to visit one of the museums there and drive around the base to see what was familiar. I went to the basic trainee museum and the Ft. Jackson cemetery which was absolutely gorgeous. Ft. Jackson is near and dear to my heart because it's where my Army career began.

We came to a military graduation, if attending, I definitely recommend getting to the gate no less than 1 hour before the start time. We did and when we got the field and the bleachers, there was almost no seats left to find! If you want a pick of what you think would be the best seats, come at least 1.5-2 hrs before the start time.
