"I had a huge room, with two double beds and a small sofa and seating area. The bed and pillow were quite firm, which I like, but guests should be aware of their own preference. The check-in experience was quick, scanning my passport into a machine, with staff on hand to help. You also had to check out with the machine, instead of just handing in your card to a drop-off box or to the staff there, which seemed a bit slower. Staff spoke English. Amenities available in Reception included nightshirts (would probably fit up to a UK 16-18), various face creams, green tea and kelp tea sachets. Toothbrushes and mini toothpaste were available in the room. There was a small Lawson's convenience store directly in the lobby, and a bigger 7-11 a few minutes down the road. There were also drink and ice cream vending machines and a microwave available. The shuttle was a large coach with two staff members, which collected from stand 31-B outside Terminal 2 at Narita (it also collected and dropped off at Terminal 1). There were fixed times, with a note that if the bus was full earlier, the bus would leave. Guests should be aware that if they come at exactly the stated time, the coach may already be full. I skipped breakfast to catch the shuttle I needed, but it was available from 6:30 and looked like buffet style."

The location was excellent, with easy access to shopping, restaurants, public transportation, and many of the city’s attractions. The hotel was comfortable and convenient, making it the perfect home base for exploring Tokyo. One of the highlights was the iconic Godzilla head, which added a fun and unique touch to the experience. Overall, we had a lovely stay and appreciated the hotel’s prime location and distinctive atmosphere. I would highly recommend Hotel Gracery Shinjuku to anyone visiting Tokyo and would gladly stay here again!"

"A very nice hotel. The rooms were quite spacious and clean. The washer/dryer combo on the even number floors were convenient but you may need to use an app to translate the directions. "My daughter picked Ikebukuro this time, so we checked out another busy spot in Tokyo, though it’s not quite on the level of Shibuya or Shinjuku. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the hotel was. They even upgraded my room, which made for a really comfortable stay. Great amenities, right across from Ikebukuro Station, and the staff were helpful. Having a few 7-Elevens downstairs made everything really convenient for the whole family. The hotel's standards are solid; the room was actually pretty big for downtown Tokyo, and it was kept very clean, with a nice view of the city skyline every day."
