Hixson Vacations from $264

Pros- I made the reservation at the last minute and because it was after 12 it had me check in at 3pm that day. Which was fine. As long as the hotel has room, usually they are able to just change the reservation. I mistakenly asked for a smoking room but he was able to change it for me. The staff was friendly and other than the below complaint, the room was clean and the sheets even smelled really good. Cons - However, changing the room to nonsmoking didn’t seem to matter. Either the room was once a smoking room or there were smoking rooms all around it because it was SO pungent that I barely slept. I was too tired to go and ask for another room as I’d been driving for over 10 hours. And there was an ashtray in the room as well. The continental breakfast was a joke however. I know it’s “free” but lordt. There was a whole loaf of bread, and some milk and cereal. I think, it was cereal. They did have coffee and flavored creamer which was great and 2 cinnamon bun roll things. All in all, good in a pinch but probably not all it could have been for almost 80 bucks.

There was a bedbug in the bed, and it bit me. I got rid of it and managed to sleep through the night; I think it was the only one. The room's carpet smelled like wet dog—they really should get rid of the carpet. But it wasn't a huge deal; it's a good place to crash when you're tired. The breakfast was excellent.

Blow dryer was not adequate. Short cord and not very strong. A few of the towels had stains on them, but other than that, the best thing was that the staff was very helpful and friendly.

We travel with 3 large dogs. This is our second stay. Our room was clean, and the bed very comfortable. There are grassy areas near for walks and potty. We will continue to make this our stop on the wat to and back from Fl

Stay was great for the price. Everyone was very friendly
