"A better value and more comfortable than the more expensive Kaanapali and Kahana resorts. Check in was a breeze. The unit was clean and well stocked, notably with great cookware and utensils to accommodate baking, grilling, and stovetop cooking. The property was well manicured, spotless, with direct beach access. The evening live music mid week was a gem of local artistry. Sunset beach meetups bring locals and guests together for spectacular sunsets. Gym was well equipped for cardio and weights, with a sauna."

"The hotel amenities were nice; however, the hotel was not that clean. For two days, we saw the same dirty spot on the floor (it looked like a dried drink), and it wasn’t until the day before we departed that they finally mopped the floors. We also saw a few roaches inside the room. They told us that this is normal in Maui, but for a hotel that charges over $1,000 a night, you expect a higher standard of cleanliness. Other than that, the hotel is located in a very nice spot, and the amenities were amazing, especially the Grotto Bar."
