The Common Man Inn & Restaurant
3.5 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (251)
"The walkway around Sugar River with the waterfall was something very nice. Also Claire the house cat was a welcome addition. The breakfast could be improved with better sandwiches and our room location #115 did not give us privacy unless we kept the shades down all the time. The restaurant was good, but overpriced for what it was. All in all a good experience."

"The owners are so kind, friendly, and thoughtful! I stayed here the night before the eclipse, and because they knew people wanted to leave early the next day to beat the eclipse traffic, they moved up the start of breakfast (poached eggs and bacon hash, yum!) an hour. The hotel is beautiful and has wonderful views of the surroundings, including the lake, from windows. There is a nice loop around the lake that can be done, and hiking trails nearby. There is a cozy atmosphere in the winter,...

"Amazing place to stay for our Girl Scout ski trip! We rented the cottage which sleeps 12 and had two large, comfy rooms for adults plus large family room and new built in beds off family room for the girls. Well appointed modernized rooms while still retaining an authentic Inn feeling. Everyone enjoyed the breakfast buffet, especially the French Toast. We explored the grounds after breakfast and the girls enjoyed being unplugged and interacting with nature. Overall a wonderful experience and our...
