“Beautiful old building on a lovely street with lots to look at and beautiful countryside to explore. Breakfast was sooo good.”

“Only two staff trying to run hotel. Had to wait for a table then service, even though the restaurant only had a couple of people in it. As the girl couldn’t run everything, not her fault. Food was terrible and dry with brown coleslaw. The hotel didn’t seem that busy considering it was Easter weekend. Had the same problem I at the other Premiere Inn hotel in Exeter last year.”

“Unfortunately the hotel had some problems in the kitchen which impacted very badly on the menu for dinner, the breakfast, service (so slow) and noise. It would have been better to fix the problems before reopening or to have had the courtesy to let us know in advance what the situation was. I would have stayed somewhere else. Extremely disappointing as I’ve had lovely stays here in the past. ”

“Absolutely fabulous few days away. This is a real gem of a hotel. Quiet and secluded but a real joy to experience. The staff are so helpful and genuine (Rosie, Sharon and Oliver deserve medals) There was plenty of choice for breakfast, the cooked breakfast was tasty and well presented. The evening dinner menu and quality of food was 10/10. I think it could be even better with a slightly extended menu. We will be back x”

“Was the only ones staying, lovely hotel quiet and clean. Bed was very hard and shower cubicle very small but breakfast was 100% worth the money. ”

“We had an excellent stay at this B&B and would definitely recommend it and go back. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and a really good size. The shower was small but it had to be to fit it in! (Room 5) The shower was very hit and miss temperature wise but we told Linda(? - the owner) when we left and she was going to get it sorted. Make sure when you park that you drive in forward and reverse out. The parking is tight, but……

“The breakfast was great, the restaurant in the club house was nicer than in the main hotel. The spa was excellent (massages and great pedicure with friendly staff). The pool was good, but busy. Convenient location.”

“We found the hotel perfectly dog friendly and appreciated being able to get breakfast in the large room adjoining the restaurant.The garden was good for short walks,as was Manor gardens across the road from the car park. ”

“The Moorland Hotel is fabulous. We would definitely recommend it and when we visit the area again we will stay here without hesitation. The food was excellent and the staff were welcoming. Although we didn't take a dog we saw some in the hotel and they were well catered for with a wash station outside (for after a long walk), plenty of water bowls, treats, spare leads, harness and blankets etc. All in all, at the end of our stay we felt rested and relaxed. You can't ask for much more than that.”
