"Good"

"Nohga Hotel is a good place to stay in Kyoto. It’s near to some of the attractions. The bakery offers great food. Amenities of the hotel are excellent. The room is on the small side with the bathroom vanity on the hall no separate like normal hotel rooms. Not much space if you have a lot of stuff. Overall a good hotel focused on eco-friendly stuff. "

"Good experience all around"

"This traditional Japanese hotel near to Kyoto main train station was the perfect base for a few days in the city! It’s a large hotel and very busy but still felt quite traditional with its tatami mats throughout (you have to take your shoes off as soon as you get into the hotel) and an amazing onsen which is open all night. Bonus was the free post-onsen ice cream to cool down, and late night ramen. It was very clean and the staff were friendly. Only downside, like many Japanese hotels, was the lack of space to store clothes in the room so I was glad to have a load of packing cubes to organise my clothes!"

"Convenient location"

"The hotel facilities were excellent, but the staff service left much to be desired. It was truly disappointing that the information provided by the front desk and the restaurant regarding our reservation did not match."

"Well-maintained property walkable to Dotonbori - great location, top notch amenities, great breakfast selection, close to transport, etc. but it’s a box of a room which is standard in Japan so mentioning it seems irrelevant. However, it’s clean so what more could a traveler need."

"Ideally located hotel in Kyoto, very good service and amenities. Only negative was noise from other guests as walls were thin."
