There are a lot of good beds and towels on the beach all with shade. You have to realize that there is a DJ on the beach from 10 am, so very loud music the entire day. You can sit further away from the music but will still hear it. So if you come for the nature and calmness this is not your place. White light mixed with warm lights everywhere. The food is by far their weakest point. Even at the specialty Restaurants. "I was disappointed with my stay. The staff had very limited English, which made communication difficult. The room had a strong mildew smell, and there was visible mildew in several areas. Most concerning, I found a bug crawling in the bed, which made me question the cleanliness of the room. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet my expectations, and I would not stay here again."

"I’d say, the best of the hotel was the Staff. Incredibly helpful with EVERYTHING. Friendly, smiling always and very helpful.
The pool was amazing, the beach, the food and drinks. The area, very quiet and relaxing.

"From a customer service standpoint, the staff is mediocre at best and says a lot about the Hilton brand. Within three hours of arriving to the Hilton Santa Marta, my wife had $240 stolen from her purse from a cleaning lady. A few failed efforts to come to a reasonable resolution, has left a very bad taste in my mouth considering I was vacationing with my family (which included 3 children). 5 days have passed and absolutely nothing has been done.
