seedy hotel in a questionable area

Not very clean, no elevator, shower didn’t work, air cond/heater smelled like old urine when turned on. Seedy area of town.

Needs Improvement

This was not the best quality motel I expected from Travelodge. The rooms were hot and noisy due in part to the neighborhood but also due to the quality of construction. It was not as clean as I would expect. We waited a very long time, over 30 minutes, for the shuttle from the airport but the ride took under 10 minutes. We waited 20 minutes at the desk for a ride back to the airport. This is convenient to the airport but not the best location in the Seattle area.

Great for a short night stay before an early a.m. flight out of Seattle!

The Sea-Tac Travelodge worked great for our needs - we were arriving just after 10 pm after driving up from Portland, Oregon and had an 8 a.m. flight out from Sea_Tac the next a.m. The room was reasonably priced, fine in its conditions and amenities for the price, quiet enough, and within 2 miles of the airport. So it worked quite well for us to get a decent nights sleep and get to the airport for our early flight the next morning!

not impressed

not in a good neighborhood. Lots of "activity" in the parking lot during the night. The room was semi-clean. I give it a one star or less.

If you are on a limited budget this place is ok. However, it seemed as though there were much nicer places closer to the airport.

Budget transit stop

I had to spend a night as layover for connecting flight in Seattle, and this was cheap and all right. Corridor face the parking lots, and can be noisy when other guests arrive/leave, or chat.

Good Facility

I was completely satisfied with this facility. Close to the airport and light rail to downtown Seattle. I will use this facility again next time.

It is a ok hotel

Not much to say. It is an OK hotel for overnight stay near the airport.

What a dump!

I would sleep in the airport before I spent another night in this dump. Unsavory characters were hanging around the motel taking care of business. It was dirty, noisy, and dangerous.

Worst Hotel Ever!

There were four of us in the room and they only gave us three towels. When we went to the front desk to ask for an extra towel, they told us we didn’t need it and refused to give us one! The bathroom door didn’t close and it’s in a scary neighborhood!

Will Stay again.

I was traveling as a single woman and was fearful of finding a place not so safe, This was not true with the Travelodge, the parking was set up so that I had safe and easy access to the room, the lighting in the parking lot was ample, even on a late night out. I felt secure in my room and this is very important to me. The convention I was attending had rooms available but for almost triple the price, I would go back to Travelodge every time. Thanks, KW

Not that great, but worth the money I guess

Hotel was extremely run down, but was close to the airport with a free shuttle and the hotel itself was affordable. If you are looking for top notch this is not going to work, but for a quick over night stay it is worth it.

Very close to airport. We took a cab downtown which was beautiful. A little expensive, ($40 each way) but worth it. Only about 20 minutes away

Hooker Hotel

We wanted to stay in a place close to the airport rather than getting up at 3am to drive to catch our plane, but now I wish we would have just stayed at home. The room was freezing cold and did not warm up until it was time for us to leave to catch the plane. The bed was dirty and we resorted to sleeping fully clothed. It was the first time in my life that I feared I was going to catch head lice or some sort of disease after staying at a hotel. This hotel should not be offered by expedia as it was so disgusting.

I guess you get what you pay for. It was the cheapest hotel we could find, but that still doesn’t make it right for it to be so disgusting and unclean.

Waiting in the Cold only to Wait again in the Cold

I had an overnight stay between flights in Seattle. While waiting over 45 minutes in the cold for the shuttle to pick me up (does it say on their advertising that they are just minutes from the airport?), I watched other motel shuttles come and go 3 or 4 times. Once arriving at the motel, I was sad to find there was no way to make hot water for tea, which is a quick way to get warmed up. Also, the room was freezing cold, and took forever to warm up. I called to ask for an extra blanket, and had to wait for an hour for one. My time between flights was short, though it was my plan to get 8 hours of sleep, by the time I did all the waiting for shuttle and blankets, I was able to get more like 5 hours. Too much of my time was wasted waiting for their very poor and slow service. On top of that, the room was stale, and hardly clean. I may have been better off to wait the night out at the airport, than to go here. There is another Travel Lodge near the airport where I have stayed, which had much better service, and better rooms for the same price. Unfortunately, I did not realize there were two and ended up at this one.

The Hotel is bab

This Hotel is dirty. The walls had holes. The water fall from then rain went under the room door and claused the carpet to get wet. The bed linens were not clean. This is a bad place to stay. The phone in the room was broke. No coffee service even after stating over the web there was coffee in the rooms. Ice machine was broke. There were holes in the walls of the room. I will not recommed this hotel or ever go back to stay.

If you want sleep AVOID this hotel!

Staff were very rude, coming and knocking on our door and asking us to not walk so loud. Our room was over their office and we had a 2 yr old that had been on a plane confined for and hour. Yeah, I’m going to try and have him walk softly. Also gave us a wake up call that we did not ask for and very rudely stated if we wanted the shuttle to get going basically. Noise, noise, noise, noise. Traffic, other guests walking by, the walls are apparently made of paper. I heard the buzzing traffic ALL NIGHT LONG.

Failed to remove snow and ice

We were in Seattle during their most significant snow event in 50 years, but that’s no excuse for a business failing to remove snow from their stairs, walks and parking lot. I had to twice dig my car out of the slush they left in their parking lot for a full five days after the storm (until it melted).

Filthy

Sheets on both beds were inside out Why ? Made me wonder. Strange hair everywhere. Never again. Stay away.

You only find out about free WiFi if you open the drawer of your bedside stand!

Not the best experience

Air conditioning units hanging out windows had sharp corners with edging sticking out that caught on clothes as you passed by. One unit on second floor exended over stairway and I ran my shoulder into it carrying luggage up stairs. Trash dropped by clean-up crew lay in second story walkway for entire period we moved luggage from car to second floor rooms.

Surly night clerk, smokey smelling non-smoking room, and the infamous taco bed, where you both meet in the middle in spite of your best efforts to stay apart. The neighborhood left something to be desired too.

Seedy Neighborhood but Nice People, + Bus Line & Close Food

The hotel owners are nice, helpful people, but the hotel is in need of repairs and the neighborhood leaves much to be desired. However, if you don’t have kids and don’t mind some colorful neighbors, the hotel is on a major bus line (176) that goes straight into Seattle from early in the morning until late at night and there are several fast-food restaurants and a convenience store w/in walking distance.

Clean rooms

The motel was nice and clean. When we arrived we asked about getting a soda somewhere but were told it really wasn’t very safe to walk around at night. This was not in the best neighborhood. The room itself was fine though.

For the price, we felt lucky to have chosen the Travelodge. It isn’t luxury but it is definitely good value. The best surprise was the waffle machine at breakfast. It created good comraderie among the guests and added a bonus smile on my childrens’ faces. Also, the staff was very accomodating when I left something in the room and asked them to send it along on the next shuttle van to the airport.
