"Very nice hotel"
My wife and I enjoy walking around downtown, especially the the romantic zone and surrounding area. We had hoped we could have walked to town from the hotel, but as I suspected it was too far for us. But taxi's were so affordable it did not bother us at all. Actually, we found the location ideal. The hotel is on a hillside over looking the bay and the view is gorgeous. Its neighborhood is an area of expensive villas and very interesting. Walking is very hilly so we took the free shuttle to town or a taxi. So returning to our hotel was like coming home to a quiet and relaxing environment. We really appreciated the adults only pool on the roof top with recliners molded into a shallow part of the pool. Very relaxing and we never had trouble getting any space up there; never crowded.

"About as good as a small hotel gets."
I had rented Casa Karma years ago when it was available as a staffed, beachfront villa. It was nice then, and is a good bit nicer now. The place has expanded into the ( formerly nasty) lot next door, and the place is georgeous, fountains, verdant settings, all tastefully and expensively done. The "hotel" aspect seemed tiny in that I never saw more than three guests, but the little patio bar was public and well-known and liked by the local ex-pats, who congregate for sunset happy hour and a lavish weekly Bloody Mary Bash, that I missed but sure sounded good. The little restaurant was excellent, but seems over-described as a "restaurant"; really, this place is an uber-capable B&B, which is a decent definition of a boutique hotel. If I had to reach for a balancing negative, the pool is smallish ( but fine for purpose ), and neither I nor the staff could get the enormous new satellite TV to work. But who goes to one of the most beautiful views in the world to watch TV? I never made it down to the private beach, but it was right there, exotic and movie-set stunning to see. Everyone I met was happy, friendly, and helpful (TV excepted), including the owner, or at least a very pleasant lady who seemed like the owner. I thought the place was a bargain in US dollars, as everything is in Mexico right now. If you can afford the possible minor up-charge from a hotel, and don't mind (or enjoy) the slight clubby-ness of a near B&B experience, you will love this place.

"Wonderful vacation at Villa Premiere"
My partner and I stayed for one week in late March. Puerto Vallarta is known as a gay-friendly place and this hotel is no exception. The staff was without exception very friendly and accommodating. Our "Deluxe" room (really kind of a basic room) was on the first floor (two levels up from ground level). It was quite acceptable and had a decent view of the beach, ocean and pool area, though partially obstructed by the roof of one of the restaurants. We found the bed to be a reasonable compromise between my preference for cushy and his for firm. However, we only remained in that room for a couple of days -- a remodeling project in the next room caused a strong odor of solvents, and in addition the air conditioner dripped water on the floor. As a result we were moved to a new, better room on the third floor which had a spa as well as a sitting room, plus a larger and more private balcony. We were pleased with the way the hotel staff handled the situation. At an additional cost of about $190 to $230 for two people, the all-inclusive option does not seem worthwhile (and we didn't take it). The hotel restaurants are very good, and comparably priced with those of the similar quality off-site. But we're not heavy eaters or drinkers, so on the "European plan" (pay as you go) we spent a lot less than that per day, plus we had the opportunity to eat at some of the excellent restaurants in old town.

"Very nice hotel with great view"
We enjoyed our stay at Sheraton. The view from our room was amazing with great views of the sunset (Room 1809). The room and grounds were very clean. The staff for the most part were great, especially Jessica and Linda at the concierge desk. They were both helpful and friendly. Even though they asked if we were interested in attending a presentation, they were not pushy at all and respected our wishes when we declined. The staff at the restaurants were great, the only issue was when sitting at the pool no one ever asked if we wanted something to drink or eat. They hardly came around and when they did they only served certain guests. That was very annoying. The all inclusive was great and highly recommended it also included the Mexican Fiesta on Thursday which was absolutely amazing...a great experience of Mexican culture and talent. Lastly, the resort is very close to Malencon and malls, pretty much walking distance to everything you need if you want to shop or just experience traditional culture. The only other complaint was the way that activities were advertised. It would have been nice to have a list of everything that we could do on the day we checked in with the times and locations, for example I missed the yoga until the last day because I had no idea they were offering it. However, I did use the gym, which was perfect with great equipment. The beach was beautiful, but you need water shoes because of the rocks in the sand. Overall, a good resort!

"Central to restaurants, town, market and beaches "
An exceptionally friendly and helpful staff from beginning to end. Centrally located, this isn't a "fancy" bnb, yet quaint and comfortable. If you don't find something you need or want, just ask! Everyone is so accommodating. Stayed in the penthouse. Plenty of room everywhere except at the bathroom sink. Balcony is small. No room for lounger but there was never a shortage at the pool. Just like many converted places, could have used an additional electrical outlet or two. Bed was amazingly comfortable...and this from someone fairly fussy. Continental bkfst was fine but I opted for full hot bkfst each day. USD$6 is worthy it to me. Didn't opt for any of the limited room service but if bkfst is any indication - it was probably great Had a wonderful in-room massage - perhaps the best part of the stay! Again, reasonably priced and oh, so convenient.

"Wonderful hidden gem in Puerto Vallarta"
We stayed at this charming property during our final night in Mexico, and I wish we had found it sooner! From the grand foyer replete with lap pool and chandelier to the homemade guacamole & margarita awaiting us on our arrival, everything about this property is welcoming. Grant welcomed us warmly and spent time orienting us to the neighbourhood and provided us with restaurant recommendations for dinner. He was also very generous in allowing us to use the property's amenities on the last day after check out. Although we checked out of our room at noon we never felt pressure to leave the property prior to our 3 PM taxi pick up, and sat in the loveseat overlooking the river. We stayed in the Maria room and found the bed to be very comfortable. The patio doors lead to a winding staircase up to the pool and bar area as well as the rooftop whirlpool. It was a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the sunset. Breakfast was made to order and was delicious: both my husband and I had the huevos rancheros and I have a coffee…Wonderful coffee! We sat on the balcony overlooking the river and enjoyed a relaxing meal. We both highly recommend this property for your stay in Puerto Vallarta and we look forward to our next visit!

"Nice fun hotel, but the construction ruined it."
This hotel is in a great location. The views, if you can get one, are great and the staff very helpful. That said, the constitution that was going on was terrible. We weren't notified that the noise would start every morning at 9 am. Also, the room with a jacuzzi is not worth the extra price. In some roooms the jacuzzi was inside the rooms and in others it sat empty on the balcony.

"Close to the beach, nice pool"
A nice hotel, needed some paint and updating near elevators. Most resorts in Mexico (in my experience) have a grand, beautiful entrance, this one doesn't (pretty plain). However, the room was clean and the pool was nice and well maintained. The food was okay (only 3 dining options really). No snorkeling available and you have to keep your beach chair up by the hotel (can't sit too near the water). The staff is pretty friendly but room service took a long time (probably since it was so busy). I would not pay for a round-trip transfers to the hotel, a taxi would be way cheaper. If you want to do any excursions you will need to pay for a taxi to get to your excursion.

"Fantastic Resort"
This was our first time to Puerto Vallarta and we will be back; especially to this resort. 1. The staff was very friendly, professional and courteous. 2. Grounds were in great condition. 3. Had an Ocean View room on 4th floor and it was perfect. Quiet at night. Clean. Great porch. Comfy bed! 4. Ate at both reservation required restaurants and got in with no problem. Food was very good. We are not fussy eaters but found the food to be very good and will go back to them again. 5. Pool side entertainment was good. Aerobics, bingo, crazy volleyball, and drinking games. Had music; played the same over and over but it was not annoying to listen too. 6. Oscar at the pool side snack bar was the best! We had so much fun with him. Such a hard worker and personable. Enjoyed learning some Spanish with him and others. 7. Nightly shows were good; same quality as other resorts we have been at. Enjoyable to watch. 8. Nice size swim-up bar in a hot tub (would prefer cooler water). But fun and good music. 9. The dance bar (Club Nitro) was an option for late night dancing. Too late for us (like 10:30) so we never made it. But heard it was fun.
