“I had a great stay here! The accommodation was lovely, and the location was perfect. It’s conveniently located close to the Old Town, and if you want to explore the New Town, it’s around a 15-minute walk or just a 5-minute taxi ride away. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I was even given a complimentary upgrade at check-in, which was such a lovely surprise! As a solo female traveller, feeling safe and comfortable is really important to me, and this accommodation exceeded……

“Great stay here at Alfagar Village. The property was vast - many pools, restaurants and activities for kids/adults. The beach is a bit of a walk away but very convenient to have on the property. The rooms have been updated and were clean. Staff was always accomadating - thanks for Theo and Goncales for all their help with everything! Location was great for travelling to other locations as well and there was ample parking available.”

“Overall, a very good hotel/resort. The challenge is that it's layout is over a very large property. Finding your way around is a mystery and walking to your room, with the luggage, from the reception is very difficult ... but they arranged for a van to take us. Using Uber at night, the driver couldn't find our villa.”

“Had a really good time there with my family. I actually booked another hotel in Sagres, but with much smaller space and poorer infrastructure. So I cancelled that one, and drove back again to Balaia hotel. Again the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There was also an indoor swimming pool nearby. Hotel staff was nice and helpful. Not to mention that the price is so attractive. Definitely worth it.”

“The location was great (close to the beach and close to good supermarket, lots of restaurants), the staff - friendly , helpful. The atmosphere was great with well maintained garden and lovely swimming pool. Only one thing you can complain about is that some customers tended to leave their towels ( or even attached them by clothes pegs to the chairs) on the seats by the pool in the early morning and then come back to those chairs in very late afternoon.”
