It was a great little cabin. The master bedroom mattress is super uncomfortable but other than that it was great and the wildlife was right at our front door

Difficult
I never received any check in instructions. Where I called the office they insisted that I “should” have received an email already which solved nothing. After calling again they continued telling me I should have an email. At this point I was already on the front porch. I finally convinced her to just tell me the code. Then the code didn’t work I had to call again for a different code. It was just frustrating after driving all that way to just sit outside unable to get in them rental. The air conditioning barely pushed anything out and was a complete failure. I just opened the windows to try and stay cool. Since most places like this insist on having their guest wash the dishes, all the dishes needed to be washed before using. You can’t emphasize enough on how ridiculous the drive is. Every car that passed by was spinning tires and kicking up rocks and dirt. The drive way could easily be paved. The sewage smell in the cabin my have actually been the smell of the water, either way not a fan. Takes time to get used to. I won’t stay with these places again but you’re welcome to try

Charlie Cabin - Bottle House Cabins
They are not kidding when they say 4-wheel drive is recommended all times of year. Cabin is smaller than we anticipated - would be really tight for more than two people. Only real issue was we never had access to internet despite numerous calls to management. They insisted we put the password in wrong but you would think after 100 attempts we would have accidently got it right once. That part was VERY frustrating. It was a very quiet community.

Beautiful views in great location
Our family had a wonderful and relaxing stay at the Charlie cabin! The views were beautiful, the porch was a perfect spot to have lunch and look out at the mountains, and it was a short drive to town. Easy checkin and checkout, with everything you needed in the cabin. As the cabin listing states, we can confirm you will for sure need 4WD up to the cabins in snow or mud when you turn off the main road. We did and were totally fine but noticed others with only front wheel drive having to park down the mountain to walk up and down to their cabin. Lots of beautiful wildlife in this area, even wild horses! It was a great spot to get away with the family. Can’t wait to come back!

Nice Mountain Cabin
Nice little cabin conveniently located in between ski apache mountain and Ruidoso Winter Park tubing park. Our cabin was equipped with all the essentials for cooking and sleeping including plenty of extra heaters for cold weather. Beds were very comfortable, two main had memory foam mattresses I belive. The only thing could use an upgrade is the outside bbq gas grill which worked for us but is at it's last breath. We would definitely come back to this cozy and extremely well insulated cabin.

A great cabin for a couple or a couple with young kids. Amazing views from the deck and hot tub! Nice kitchen, bedroom, etc. We cooked both nights we stayed there and it was fantastic. Watched the storms blow in from the deck and had an amazing trip. 4 Wheel drive is recommended and the hill is STEEP.

Only 2 small Cons, Overall Great Stay!!
1st Con- Believe there was a skunk living under the porch. Hopefully this skunk is not on a year lease but during our stay it was definitely smelly around the car and porch 2nd Con- Only one frying pan, and very small. It was a bit frustrating cooking as there was only one small frying pan and pot. Aside from those two things, the place was great, clean and modern. The hot tub was fantastic and the electric fireplace was cozy.

Needs TLC & Maintenance
We have stayed at this property the past 3yrs. This time felt property was deteriorating: had to call management to replace commode parts while there, front door mat worn & torn into 2 pieces, sewage or septic odor in house, broken window blind slat in bdrm, black mold ard baseboard in bathrm, bottom piece window trim in bedroom fell off, had to ask for extra blankets. Disappointed this visit. It's a wonderful location if you want privacy & "true Nature" feel of the pines. Abundance of beautiful hummingbirds!

The views and deck were amazing! Cabin was small than expected but served its purpose for the time spent there. Cabin could have been cleaner. Dust and cobwebs on tops of the curtains. I also had to sweep all the cobweb/spider webs off the patio furniture before we could enjoy sitting out there. Overall nice place
