Bambura House 1 is built of bamboo and wood which makes the space warm and cozy. It is surrounded by impressive mountains. You can see birds, toucans, monkeys and other animals passing by.
The house is a cozy cabin with 2 bedrooms with full-size beds each. The house is fully-equipped for your convenience.
We are in Hermosa community, very close to Playa Hermosa, where you can enjoy surfing, and also near Uvita and Ballena Marine National Park, where whales and dolphins can be seen.
The house has a terrace/balcony which is a great place to relax and enjoy the nature. It has a living room and kitchen space with all the necesary ammenities, and a separate bathroom and 2 bedrooms.
It has hardwood floors, high ceilings with ceiling fans, and air conditioning (in the bedrooms)
The wood was bought from an association of farmers “campesinos” from Osa, which is authorized by the government to commercialize fallen wood in Hurricane Otto, and the construction company is also Costa Rican (Bambutico), they are a family who have 30 years of experience developing bamboo as a construction technique.

Surfing all year long- Hermosa Beach, Dominical Beach
Dolphin and whale watching from August to November - Ballena Marine National Park
La Cola de la Ballena (Whale Tail): It is a natural rocky and sandy formation caused by the sedimentation generated by tides. You can only visit it during the dry tide. The shape of the tail can only be seen from high parts or doing a flyby. It is also known as the Tómbolo and the passage of Moses.

Hermosa is a rural community that stands out for its breathtaking nature. It has a nature reserve that borders the entire community. Thanks to this, the view from our cabins is spectacular.
In this community is the "Paso de la Danta Biological Corridor", which includes the nature reserve and is a great place to have fun and learn about the local nature, the local inhabitants, and their agricultural way of life.
You will have the opportunity to participate in various activities such as hiking in the nature reserve or horseback-riding on the beach. You may enjoy learning about exotic birds and medicinal plants. You can take a traditional cooking class (with doña Aida) or produce your own chocolate drink with the cocoa fruit just as our ancestors did (with Ronald Alpízar).
We are 7 minutes by car from Uvita, where banks, supermarkets, restaurants, and shops are located.
The community of Hermosa is located between Uvita and Dominical. In Uvita there is a bus station with routes to San José or to the southern zone. Uvita is located 7 minutes SE of Hermosa following the main road. In Uvita is the Ballena Marine National Park, which has a spectacular whale-watching tour period. This show cannot be missed.
You can travel to Bambura House 1 by normal car, although we strongly recommend a 4x4 so you can take advantage of all the roads in the area. Also, you can get here by bus from San José-Dominical-Pérez Zeledón, but where the bus stops is located 15 minutes away from our house on foot.
