"This is an exceptional stay in terms of the usual metrics such as the housekeeping staff, the cleanliness and the front desk staff, but in terms of what one gets for one’s money (and I have stayed in many of the motels and hotels in the area), it would be difficult to find a deal like this elsewhere. The rooms are spacious enough to stand head and shoulders above the usual at this price level, the housekeeping staff were always available for anything I needed but never knocked on my door so that if I needed to sleep virtually until the moment of my checkout time, I could. The rooms are well soundproofed. I never have heard sounds from shared walls. In other hotels at this price point, You run a real risk of being aware of closing doors, cell phone chatter and it’s good to experience peace and quiet without paying like this basic expectation is a luxury. Beyond these, the front desk staff’s demeanor and attention “feel” like more than I paid. It’s the sophistication and experience I think. These are people who obviously take pride in the quality of stay the customer gets for their money and so many “reasonably priced” options in this world are a tense tug-of-war between what you paid and what management thinks you won’t miss or notice you don’t get. Not here. Whatever your reason for staying in the area, if you’re looking for a decent stay on a budget that is noticeably superior to the competition in that regard, I can very safely recommend The Pacific Hotel."
