"We spent one night at La Ferme de Marpalu and absolutely loved it! The location is perfect—close to beautiful castles, with plenty of options to hike, explore, and enjoy nature. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful. Ingrid and Jean-Paul are wonderfully warm and welcoming. Despite the snow and cold, Jean-Paul came out to greet us personally and gave detailed instructions so we could fully enjoy our stay. Their kindness truly made us feel at home. The bed is very comfortable, and the room is cozy, stylish, and modern, with a lovely roof window that lets in natural light. Breakfast was a real treat: delicious cheeses, fresh nuts, eggs, hot drinks, chocolate, juice, unique croissants, and jam made from local fruits—everything was fresh, flavorful, and memorable. We’ll definitely return and can’t recommend this place highly enough!"

"We had another lovely stay at Le Beaugency. Everything was good. Only drawback was they don't supply dinner on a Sunday evening. A bit of a problem when only one restaurant open in the town. Luckily we were able to get in there."

"A fantastic location with great accommodation. The hosts communicate well & couldn’t be more helpful. Arrival & departure couldn’t have been easier. The property is as described & in the grounds of a beautiful chateau. The grounds are well maintained with an added bonus of a ‘help yourself’ fruit orchard. We used the bikes that are available & spent a great day cycling to Blois & back along the river. Options to kayak are close by & we enjoyed that too. Would love to return & enjoy the area (& accommodation) in the near future. Couldn’t fault anything. Perfect if you just want to relax or do activities & explore. "
