Tentrr Signature - Hessian Hill Farm

Vacation home in Berne with balcony
Summary: This is an exclusive Tentrr site. Tentrr partners with farmers, ranchers, and other property owners to offer unique outdoor accommodations on beautiful private land. Each Tentrr Signature site includes a 10'x12' safari-style canvas tent on a raised platform, and you'll find a queen-size single or bunk bed inside. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. If you're camping with a larger party, the site also has a 5-person dome tent that you can easily set up for extra sleeping space. The Tentrr - Hessian Hill Farm is where the forest meets the field. Here, you'll find a beautiful campsite on a peaceful farm in the hills above the Schoharie Valley. Explore 300 acres of forest and farmland or just relax in a your own private and secluded campsite. Located between Albany and Cooperstown, Hessian Hill camping offers the opportunity to experience a working livestock farm, and take a leisurely walk on a country road. The Space: If you bring your dog and want to spend the day exploring other local attractions, we have on- site boarding for your canine companion. Breweries, wineries and shopping are just minutes away. There is a lot to experience here at Hessian Hill, so feel free to ask us about our seasonal farm chores and animal interaction. Also visit our website for other Hessian Hill Farm activities throughout the year. Watch for electric fences that keep both you and our animals safe. While around the barns and farm store, please keep your dogs on leash, but they are welcome to run free while in the woods and fields. This campsite is off-the-grid, offering the chance to relax, unplug, and experience nature! There is no electricity or WiFi, and cell service may be hard to come by. You'll have the entire campsite to yourself, as you'll be the only Campers enjoying this piece of paradise. When it comes to bathrooms, this campsite comes with a solar camp shower (that will be filled with water and can be hung anywhere around your campsite you feel comfortable) as well as an outdoor camp toilet (you'll line the loo with a provided CleanWaste bag, do your duty, then remove the bag, tie it off, and throw it in the garbage). When you arrive, you'll follow the map provided to arrive at your campsite. Parking will be close by and dogs are always allowed! Other Things to Note: Camping during Covid-19: Tentrr campsites have always been the perfect solution for getting away from it all. Privacy and seclusion are part of what make our outdoor accommodations unique, and usually all it takes is a quick road trip out of the city to reach one of our exclusive camping destinations. In the age of social distancing, isolated time can still be quality time - especially when you’re unplugged and out in nature - and we want you to know that the Tentrr team and our hosts are working together to make sure you have a safe and relaxing experience. Our hosts have been doing a great job ensuring our campsites are clean and spotless for your arrival. We ask that you do your part as well - maintain social distancing, clean up after yourselves, and leave no trace - so that everyone in our camping communities can enjoy these cherished outdoor spaces. This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. Line the bucket with a CleanWaste bag supplied at the camp (or another appropriate plastic bag) prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. We got this idea from bathrooms used on NASA spaceships, and we've used the Tentrr Loo countless times ourselves- don't worry! Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.
Rooms open to balconies. Bathrooms include showers.
