Holiday lodge close to the stunning beaches of North Devon and Cornwall

Welcome to lodge number 85 or, as we know it, ‘The Shed’. Because the lodge is constructed of wood, friends thought it funny to re-name it and, endearingly, it has stuck. Far from the basics of a garden shed, it is a three-bedroom, comfortable and well-equipped lodge situated in a quiet corner of Hartland Forest holiday park overlooking the stunning North Devon countryside. Close to the beautiful sandy beaches of North Devon and Cornwall the lodge provides a base for a wonderful holiday.
The lodge sleeps up to six people in three bedrooms. The master double bedroom with ensuite shower room and two further twin bedrooms and a second bathroom. Fresh bedding and towels are provided. The living area is spacious with open plan kitchen, dining area and comfy sofas to relax on, and sliding doors open onto the enclosed decking with outdoor seating for 6 people.
If you have a Netflix account viewing is possible as The Shed is equipped with wi-fi and a 42-inch Samsung smart TV. If TV is not your thing, then enjoy the warm summer evenings sitting on the westerly facing decking watching the sunset as you enjoy one more cold drink. Your dogs are also welcomed to relax with you, enjoying the views.
Guests at The Shed have free access to the two onsite private fishing lakes which are well stocked with Carp, Rudd, Bream and Tench. Situated a short walk from the lodge this is a beautiful area to while away time even if you are not a keen angler.
If you would like a peaceful, relaxing holiday away from hurly-burly of everyday life yet close enough to explore everything this much-loved area has to offer, this is the place for you. Whilst it is normally available for 7day Saturday to Saturday bookings please get in touch if you would like to look at alternative durations.

Lovely location. Quiet and comfortable.
The chalet was very clean, well presented and comfortable. Great location with good views and beautiful lakes. Great for walking the dogs - they loved it! We made several trips into Bude. Nice town and lovely beech. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing week. Thank you Susan.

The Shed -perfect getaway!
We found The Shed the perfect base for our week's holiday in North Devon. Very clean, well stocked and with a cosy feel, yet spacious enough for six adults and our dogs to be comfortable. Set in a lovely quiet location surrounded by traditional Devonshire lanes it was perfect for a peaceful evening of stargazing, yet just a twenty minute drive and you can be at some of the most beautiful coastline in the country. (Lots of it dog friendly, which is very important to us!) Would definitely recommend!

Ideal for all ages
The lodge was immaculately clean, comfortable and well appointed with a detailed set of information sheets about the lodge and environs. The grandchildren and their parents enjoyed beach activities as well as coastal walks. The grandparents visited Hartland Abbey and liked the quiet of the lodge. Probably not enough on site to keep young children engaged but the lodge itself provided DVDs for children. A worthwhile stay and strongly recommended for all ages.

Wonderfully well equipped, very clean and comfortable Lodge. The welcome wine and biscuits were a lovely touch and there was plenty of information on the surrounding area. A great base for exploring both Devon and Cornwall.

A lovely home from home
We had a lovely stay at The Shed. From start to finish Susan couldn’t have been more helpful with our booking process. The Shed has everything that you need for a weeks holiday. Going at the end of October I was concerned that we would be cold but the property was lovely and warm with really effective heating. A really lovely way to spend a week in a really peaceful setting.

Fantastic lodge!
We have just returned from our stay at The Shed and have had such a wonderful stay. The lodge is homely and comfortable and has everything you need. The location is brilliant, perfect for exploring north Devon and Cornwall. The on-site fishing is excellent too. We would have no hesitation in recommended The Shed and are even looking to return ourselves next year.

Lovely place to take a break
A very clean, comfortable and spacious lodge that is well furnished and equipped. With 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a decent open plan kitchen/lounge/diner is a great place for a family to stay. A very nice place to use as a base for exploring North Devon & North Cornwall, or just chill away from it all.
