A month of heaven
Even though tropical storm Elsa tried to put a damper on our vacation we had an amazing time. The beds in this house are so comfortable. My kids loved the bunk beds. The A/C stays ice cold and with fans in the house it almost an ice box. All the TVs were smart TVs which was perfect since we all watch Netflix and Hulu. The pool was great to come home to get into after the boat it was a little cloudy when we first go there from a bunch of chlorine tabs being in there but it got better. The yard is huge plenty of parking for your trailer and cars. It’s so fun to have the key deer in your yard all the time. We did have to change the air filter while we were there because we had a few asthmatics in the house that’s asthma was acting up. A few of the doors don’t close all the way. The biggest issue we had wasn’t with the house it was with the bridge on fern road. There was days when we had to time it exactly right to be able to get our boat under the bridge and a few days we couldn’t take it out at all when the tides were so high during the new moon. The first two weeks weren’t an issue it was just when the moon phases changed don’t get me wrong at high tide we literally had an inch or so between the radar and the bridge. When the phases started changing we actually did scrape the bridge we need 108” of clearance. We traveled to Islamorada to alligator reef which was beautiful all the way to Key West where we rode scooters and went to the aquarium. Boondocks is a really fun place to take the kids to eat, grab a drink, and play mini golf.
