Pros: I highly recommend this place for couples or solo travelers as it is central to everything that you need in the downtown area. Everything (supermarket, shopping, restaurants, bus terminal, the Renaissance, etc.) is within walking distance, which was very convenient. If you rent a car (highly recommended!), there’s free parking outside of the building. I never felt unsafe coming or going, whether it was very early in the morning or late at night. I also noticed that there is a security guard stationed across the street from the apartment. He’s there all night, so it feels good to know that there is someone around if anything were to ever occur. Communication with Francis was great, friendly, and he was always very receptive to all of my questions and concerns. I will definitely be back in the future for sure! Another thing to note is that you will live amongst locals as there aren’t many tourists around unless you walk down towards the shops and restaurants. The surrounding area isn’t super run down, but also isn’t as nice as the property.
Cons: I noticed some random hairs around, and the dispensers for the soap in the bathroom could be monitored and refilled when needed. This was a simple fix though as I just went to the supermarket around the corner to buy some toiletries. I also noticed a lot of small spiders around the outside of building. They seem harmless, and I never saw any inside, but it’s just something to point out in case someone has a fear of spiders.
