“We loved staying in this quaint hotel. We stayed in the “Stone” house. It felt like we were at Summer camp with the original wood paneling and kitschy decor. The beds were super comfortable. This is not a hotel for everyone though. If you want the Ritz, this is not it. Carpets were stained and walls were beat up, etc. but I would stay here again, in a heat beat! Pets and Motorcyclists welcome!”

“It was a peaceful location, I felt like I had all the comforts of home. The beds were very comfortable better than any high end hotel I’ve been to. I actually felt like I could live there it was great! The breakfast was delicious also”

“Facility is old but serious efforts have been made to update. New dropped ceilings, fairly new furnishings, new paint, quaint etc. Very clean and comfortable. I had very limited contact with staff, but that was pleasant. There was some road noise but not terrible. Spacious parking was at the room entry. Some of the room photos are misleading. Be sure to designate whether you was street front or creek side. Also be prepared for a 3% credit card charge. The most serious negative was the high step……

“This is such a wonderful place. Very beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed sitting in the large covered porch and looking over city and French Broad River. The room was marvelous and shower was wonderful. Very clean and the bed was marvelous. We slept so well. We will be back!!!’ The host even reached out to see if we wanted to sleep in a bit to extend check out!!! Thank you for the beautiful accommodations.”
