Hyland Inn Near Legoland

"Perfect for what we needed. Clean fresh smelling rooms. Great location felt safe. Short drive to the Circle K to get a nice cup of coffee in the morning and Thrifts Ice Cream for the kids after a day at the beach. Parks and playgrounds nearby too. Would recommend this place for families looking to enjoy the beach and Legoland California!"

"Beautiful large rooms. Reserved from a booking site as log-in from Beach Terrace site was problematic, and still got a room with a balcony and partial ocean view. This was a vast improvement from last year's room which was on a walkway and much appreciated, it made our vacation more enjoyable. All personnel is wonderfully welcoming and helpful. We love the pool, the beach valet service, the bikes and the wonderful breakfast. We love to be within walking distance of many restaurants and shops."

"We enjoyed our two-night stay at this family-focused hotel. We booked last minute and got a first floor patio room with ocean view. We enjoyed sitting on the patio, but next time we would book a higher floor. There will be a next time! Carlsbad is only a hour away from where we live, so it was good for a quick getaway from the heat. It is just steps from a nice restaurant that's been there for 50 years and a quick walk across the highway to sit on the beach (loved watching the surfers). Lots of families book it for a week in summer and that is perfect because Legoland and other attractions are close by. The pool is large and we we enjoyed seeing kids having fun, but maybe not so enjoyable for younger couples. The breakfast was nothing special but very convenient."

"We stayed at the hotel for 4 days with 2 kids. The hotel was spacious and very relaxing. The pools and waterslides were the main attraction! It was a short ride to downtown Carlsbad or Encinitas which offer great dining options. The beaches were also a short ride from the hotel which made for a fun visit! I would say the service was good but not great. The resort was packed on Saturday and the pool area was very busy and they didn’t fully open the restaurant or waterslides until 11am. We also had issues with the google chromecast in the room. But other than that everything was great!"
