The cottages at Englishman's Bay are set amid three acres of lushly landscaped grounds. Stone walkways and trails that wander through the property were designed to explore the gardens, landscape features and scenic view points.

The Cottages are located on a hillside just above the bay. From there on a forested trail, it is a five minute walk to the end of the beach, where the river breaches the sand and meets the sea.

The location of the cottages provides easy access to both marine and and mountain environments. Nature trails, some not known to the public, wind their way up into the rain forest or down into cascading rivers with "secret" waterfalls and dipping pools.
