“Very disappointed with the condition of this property. It appeared unkept and poorly maintained. There was clutter, dirty bathrooms, broken fixtures, pests, mold, etc. and it did not feel safe or clean. For the price, this was not acceptable. I would not recommend staying here until significant cleaning and repairs are done.”

“Place was clean and convenient to location”

“Meus pais se hospedaram lá nos últimos dias e gostaram muito do time de funcionários, especialmente no restaurante. Também gostaram muito das opções de comidas e preços, café da manhã muito bom e também com muitas opções, limpeza e arrumação dos quartos também muito boa.”

“Perfect for those traveling solo on business trips or for consulate interviews. The staff are very helpful. Juliana was there during my stay, and she was amazing helping me and my husband printing a lot of paperwork we needed for our consulate interview! We did everything by foot. 10min from the airport, mall and 8min from consulate. All walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel.”

“It’s a decent old hotel in a sketchy area. The grocery store across the street & restaurant in next door corners were very convenient. The safe in the room didn’t work, shower had good strong pressure and continuous HOT water. Shower was awesome. A/C was also great! Telephone didn’t work. TV had limited no sub title channels, Breakfast was ready at 6AM everyday. Coffee was good & strong. A variety of Pastries every morning that were good. Juices were watered down. “I liked how the staff goes above and beyond to accommodate the needs of the clients. The breakfast is impressively good. The pool was actually very enjoyable. NOW, the neighborhood might disappoint when you arrive, but its people are great. I recommend a restaurant near by ( you have to meet Alá there) to take a caipirihna. Everything is close by, pharmacies, beauty parlor, barber shop, attractions, and the beach is just an Uber away. The price fair too. Casa Nova is the SPOT!”

“Good location for some of Rio’s key tourist attractions. Also close to bars and noisy nightlife. Area has many vagrants and people sleeping rough and constant smell of urine.”

“Very nice! The hotel is not located in the beach area, but is 1minutes way to the metro station, half an hour to the Ipanema! The service is good ,especially the breakfast!”
