“The most charming and cozy cottage right on the river with beautiful sunrises! The host communicated frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. The coffee nook was an added bonus. It was in a perfect spot to travel to Emerald Isle or to enjoy downtown Swansboro. ”

“First, I have to say that all communications with Jonathan were excellent. No matter what question I had was immediately answered. The house was as described, very clean and had everything needed for a relaxed stay.Boating, don't expect to bring your own boat as the marsh is very shallow. There is a tandem kayak there but I brought my own kayak with us and it was great, spent a lot of time on the water.Overall it was a great relaxing trip but if you want a busy area with night life this is not……

“Nice small place away from the hustle and bustle of town. Fishing in front of the place was great. The kayaks on site were nice and we were able to find a few shark’s teeth on the island across the canal. Close enough to all of the local things we wanted to do. ”

“Cleanliness was the main issue. We arrived to an outside trash can that was overflowing. The inside had a terrible dog urine odor and there was dog feces in the backyard. The fenced in dog area was flooded and there was a hose there pumping water from somewhere into the dog area for our whole stay, rendering it unusable. The back yard was not mowed, with weeds in some areas over 18” high. There were beer bottle caps strewn across the rear porch. The float mat is torn and we didn’t even……
