Fortress of Solitude is worth it
Our stay was a much needed vacation and helped us all to recharge. The grounds are very private. The property is spacious, clean, and centrally located around major tourist attractions (i.e., hiking in a gorge, Woodstock, and Simon Pierce wood works). The owner is very responsive. We would definitely book this property again.

    Relaxing getaway
The place is even nicer than the pictures Appear! Hot tub and huge deck are great! As well as the upgrades to the house throughout! Thanks for a great stay!

Overall a great stay but with a few hiccups
First, I want to say that working with Suzannah, the owner, was great. She was very communicative, understanding, and when we encountered issues, she made it right. There was a possible issue with the hot tub and she kept us in the loop at every step (and it was fixed before we arrived!). There was also a toilet paper snafu (read below) that she made right. Overall, the property suited us well and we enjoyed ourselves. It had enough space for me and my five friends, and even has a hot tub! For the few issues we had, when we arrived, we discovered that there was no toilet paper to be found (an issue with the cleaners; all of the TP is locked in a closet!). I contacted Suzannah, who was very apologetic, and reimbursed us for the toilet paper we bought at the store, as well as for our time. We also had an issue with towels; I’m not sure if we just couldn’t find them, but we could only find one set, so after using them for the hot tub on the first night, we had to wash them to use again the next day. We also weren’t able to use the garage at all due to the snow blocking the entrance, which was unfortunate as this was a perk of the property. This should be communicated to guests in the future if the garage is inaccessible. As for general feedback, given that this is a recently new listing, there are a few other things that would help round it out, like oven mitts, extra bath towels, and tin foil (and more couch seating would be great!). We definitely enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others!
