Convenient for scenic train ride trip, great food!
Awesome location, first time ever waking up to a steam locomotive whistle outside our window at the nearby train station! Very easy walk right next door to the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic RR line for boarding on our day trip. The folks running the hotel are very nice and helpful, snacks & food are very high quality in lobby.
The room itself was small and a bit crowded with barely enough space to walk around the bed without catching a toe...
Bed was adequate but not overly comfy in 204, also shower head needs repair to point in the right direction.
I plan to stay here again but in different room, definitely upstairs due to floor creaks when other guests are walking past. This is normal stuff for an older property so overall I'd give a strong 6.5 rating overall for this hotel because the staff tries to accommodate guests with individual needs such as late late check-in and food.
