The two main destinations are Crowders Mountain (2.8 mile walk from Sparrow Springs Access) or the Pinnacle or King's Pinnacle. The Pinnacle trail is a pleasant 2 miles trek uphill through rich forest. The last little bit has some rock scrambling with signs that urge carefulness. But the views are stupendous, especially with fall colors in full display. (About 45 minutes west of Charlotte, NC)

"We absolutely adore this beautiful property. It was a group of adults and kids competing at Tryon equestrian center. The place was clean and well stocked and any questions we had Wendy made it so easy. We needed stabling which we were able to keep our horses at Wendy’s stable down the road. If you are showing at tryon contact Wendy. We love Wendy and her stable manger Sydney so much we plan on renting Wendy’s two properties next year . You are exactly 7 minutes from tryon and we just ran back...
