Yosemite View Lodge

8/10 Good

"Our room was great - size and amenity wise, however it did smell like urine. Since the hotel does allow pets, we assumed it was due to a previous persons stay. The staff were quick to assist with any requests we had which was appreciated. The restaurants onsite - which truly were the closest options by far were only meh. Both service and food quality. If you stay in a room with a kitchenette, I’d suggest bringing food and preparing your own meals."

The Hotel at Black Oak Casino Resort

10/10 Excellent

"In our travels from WA to NM we had a couple unplanned days. We were going to be getting weather and wanted someplace with amenities to hang out for a couple nights. We enjoyed pool and hot tub time and enjoyed the casino in the evening. There were several restaurants which was good because there’s not a lot else around, exactly what we were looking for."

Firefall Ranch Yosemite

10/10 Excellent

"This lodge is one of the best around Yosemite area. We loved the 2-bedroom cabin we stayed in which is nested in a wooded meadow away from the main reception building. Very beautiful surroundings and very quiet - a truly wonderful escape. We were here only for one night and didn't have the opportunity to enjoy all the great amenities - heated pool, jacuzzi, horseback riding, etc. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The indoor/outdoor fireplace in the main bedroom is amazing! In fact, the place was so comfortable that we spent virtually the entire stay in the cabin! We were able to try the restaurant on-site for dinner. That was, perhaps the only disappointing thing about the lodge - we were surprised by the restaurant menu with minimal options for food and they weren't that appetizing. Instead, we ordered food on the tavern menu which was okay. We were expecting a larger selection and tastier fare given the lodge's luxury caliper. The staff were super helpful, warm and friendly. I do recommend reviewing the invoice when checking out to ensure no additional charges end up on the bill! :(We were initially overcharged for an early check in fee, and dog fee) . That said, it was overall a great stay!"

Rush Creek Lodge and Spa at Yosemite

10/10 Excellent

"Great feel to the property. Conveniently right outside the park entrance. It was about 45 minutes to Yosemite Valley. Room was clean, classic with a modern twist and fun. There was no TV in the room but it was by design and very nice to reconnect. The staff was friendly and the evening activities, game room, fireplaces, and restaurants were all warm and inviting for cool evenings after Yosemite. S’mores by the fire and hanging by the fire pit were also great. Hope to be back in the future."
