    About this property

Farmhouse in the Nature on the Shores of Lake Como

    Family-friendly vacation home in Colico
Villa Zina is a tastefully decorated 1900s house with a mix of modern and poor art that can accommodate 4 people comfortably. possibly a 5th with an added bed. The house is in a quiet location, 10 minutes by car to get to the center of Colico where you can find bars restaurants and shops and supermarkets of all kinds and the train station to reach the city of Milan, Sondrio, Chiavenna and Lecco. Lake Como, also known by the name of Lario, is an Italian lake of fluvioglacial origin located in the territories of the province of Como and Lecco and divided into three basins, also called branches: the basin of Como and that of Lecco, practically symmetrical, and that of Colico, which extends to the north. It is the deepest lake in Italy with its 410 meters, a refuge for VIPs, rich and aristocratic, privileged tourist destination and counted several times as the most beautiful lake in the world. According to many, the landscape of Lake Como is very reminiscent of that of the Norwegian fjords, given the glimpses dug between the chains of the Orobie Pre-Alps, which make it fascinating and special. The most beautiful villages, the most luxurious villas, the wildest landscape. Beaches, gardens, restaurants, woods, nineteenth-century buildings, medieval villages and ultra luxurious villas (like that of George Clooney), all this and much more in one of the most exclusive locations in the world. The interior of the house there is the kitchen complete with appliances, full bathroom, and two spacious rooms. Outside there are two terraces one used mainly for breakfast, lunch or dinner, the other as a solarium there are umbrellas, deckchairs and outdoor tables. There are also fruit trees that in season time the guest can taste the ripe fruits, there is also a beach that can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes very little frequented or always about 10/15 on foot the one equipped with bar and school surf. upon arrival a welcome gift for the welcome guests Code for tourism 097023-CNI - 00103

      A lovely quiet setting

This is a lovely property up a quiet track (literally!). It is based in a small group of other rental properties, which whilst we were there were mainly used at weekends. It was very quiet though even when the other families were there. It is well equipped. We were greeted by the owner in Colico & taken to the house as it is a little off the beaten track. We were shown round the property & given a small welcome basket. There were plenty of the general provisions which can be difficult to buy in small quantities plus some additions such as pasta, tea, coffee. The house was very clean and well prepared. Whilst this farmhouse doesn't boast air conditioning, it is kept cool by the use of shutters. It has two outside sitting areas which capture the sun all day and also have some areas of sun protection. It has after a short walk a very quiet beach (not suitable for someone who is limited in their walking), which allows you to watch the setting sun over the Alps on the opposite side of the lake in the evening. The owner who says he doesn't speak English, actually does get by very well and checked on us a couple of times, both by email and short visits without being intrusive. Whilst it is a little drive to Piona and Colico, it is lovely, quiet and restful, we would return.

        Entspannte Tage am Comer See
