The most frustrating thing about Beach Club is Expedia's mis-representation of the cost. They left out fees that grossly underestimated the cost of the facility. Buyer beware, it was about $120 difference.
The room was quaint and the facility offered several amenities however there were no blinds on the windows to block out the bright lights from the building so we didn't get a restful night sleep while visiting. The stairwell was musty and hot and because we like to grill, it was a chore to get things organized for our meals. We'd stay again but only on the first floor.
ROOM WAS FINE. ONLY PROBLEMS WERE WITH BOOKING AND VACASA PHONE REPS. THE LOCAL VACASA PROPERTY MANAGER, ROBIN, GOT IT SOLVED.
THIS WAS BOOKED THROUGH TRAVELOCITY WHICH PRESENTED THIS ACCOMMODATION INCORRECTLY. THERE WAS NO INDICATION THAT THE ROOM WAS UP 3 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS KEY MISSING INFO ON THEIR SITE IS BEING ADDRESSED.
VACASA PHONE REPS WERE SIMPLY BAD AT DOCUMENTING WHAT WAS SAID OVER A PERIOD OF SEVERAL CALLS. ONE EVEN INSISTED THAT I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN IT WAS ON THE 3RD FLOOR DUE TO THE CONDO BEING #390. MEANWHILE I ENDED UP NEARBY IN CONDO #701 ON THE GROUND FLOOR.
THE ROOM ITSELF WAS VERY NICE. VACATION RENTALS LIKE THIS SEEM TO BE A MUCH BETTER DEAL THAN A HOTEL WHERE YOU PAY MORE JUST FOR DAILY LINENS AND TOWELS.
ROOM 390 ITSELF COULD HAVE A DRAWBACK FOR CERTAIN PEOPLE IF YOU NEED TO SLEEP WITH THE LIGHTS OUT. THE LIGHTS FROM THE PARKING LOT FILL THE ROOM AT NIGHT.
