“We booked a sea view room and were put in a room overlooking the parking lot and street. Our room felt like it wasn’t prepared for guests - it was clean but had no towels or face cloths. The tv worked but we couldn’t use the remote to do anything other than change the channel - we had to unplug it to turn it off and had no control over volume which was loud. The free breakfast included is pre picked for you with sausage links and eggs, cold toast but delicious potatoes, which was the only part……

“A bit of a trip back in time.... It is an older facility. It was a basic accommodation, but the beds were comfortable and we slept okay. The walls are a bit thin, but people quieted down relatively early. It was a handy place to stay if you are getting on the ferry to Newfoundland.”

“The staff when you check in are extremely welcoming and helpful. We were only here for one night at the beginning of our trip and one night at the end. The room is simple and basic but clean. It is a good location if you are using the ferry. You are able to park in front of your room which makes it convenient for packing.”

“We thought we were on the Cabot Trail, but we were on highway 105 instead. Could have stated in Sydney and done day trips or booked tours.”
