Crows Point Lodge: Amazing Lake Front in a Quiet Community

Vacation home in Swanton, walk to Deep Creek Lake
This spacious 4-bedroom lodge in an arboretum-like fern-laced forest sits lake-side with a private dock and private tennis court.

At the end of a mile-long single-lane road, this last house on Crow's Point with more than 900 feet of secluded shoreline on Green Glade Cove let's you disconnect from the real world while the children remain completely connected with high speed internet and cable television.

The ground floor 810 square-foot master bedroom with walk-in closet and bath and door to the outside has windows from the floor to the top of the 35 foot high ceiling with a 180 degree view of the picturesque scenery that surrounds you. A large table and a sitting area make the master bedroom a perfect retreat when you need a little quiet time.

One gets to the master bedroom through the library which has a sitting area and a desk as well.

The great room opens from the kitchen so cooks can stay in the conversation. The stone fireplace is 10 feet across and floor to ceiling. A dining room table that sits eight and a Steinway Grand Piano & cable TV will keep you entertained!

The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to make delicious gourmet meals. You will find a dishwasher, Keurig, microwave, 15-cup drip coffee maker, cast iron pans of all sizes, Kitchen Aid for bakers and dishes galore.

A large mud room with full-size washing/dryer will hold your coolers and gear.

The stairs to the second level have a drawbridge closure with an antique iron as a counterweight to lock in the heat during winter, but in summer it stays open, leading to three bedrooms with a shared full bath. Upstairs, the middle sitting area with couch, desk and seats adds to your living space. It is a great hang-out spot for the kids where they can watch TV on the wall-mounted flatscreen, play board games, or work at the desk.

Great outdoor space is another highlight of this home. The large deck is 50 feet across the lake front of the house and stretches 30 feet towards the water. The deck wraps around three sides of the house with three tables, umbrella, full grill and several different sitting areas ideal for afternoon barbecues and nighttime stargazing.

The dock is the last on the point, so there are no neighbors to the west. Spend summer days swimming or fishing with the kids. Bring your boat or rent one locally. Gather around the fire pit for tasty treats and good conversation.

There is also a private tennis court. A nine-hole golf course is within walking distance down the road. The quiet, one-lane Crows Point Road is perfect for walking and biking.

Access to shopping by your boat or car.

There is something to keep everyone entertained!

Crow's Point Lodge
The property is in a wonderful location, relatively secluded at the end of a peninsula but not more than a 25 minute drive to a market and drug store. The location and the lodge itself were ideal for unwinding. The lodge is relatively rustic but perfectly comfortable and spacious. I would stay here again.
