This bright, new, and nicely-decorated two bedroom Depoe Bay vacation home is quite the charmer with its ocean views, cozy gas fireplace, and unique indoor hot tub. Perfect for a weekend getaway for two, a small family, or even two couples traveling together this Depoe Bay Delight is close to shops, restaurants, and the beach. It's even dog friendly, so bring your furry family members on vacation too!

Perfect for truly getting away at the coast, you'll have a nice view of the ocean right from the front deck. Inside, the dining area and living room are open and in front of a cozy gas fireplace. Come back from a walk on the beach, start the fireplace, surf WiFi, and relax by watching a DVD or cable on the wall-mounted TV. And since you have your own kitchen here, you can even pop some popcorn and make snacks for your movie marathons.

The huge windows in this living room area provide an ocean view while eating meals at the corner dining table or even taking a soak in the built-in hot tub! There's no being cold getting in or out of this tub!

The full kitchen is completely equipped to prepare and serve a meal or just make a quick snack. You'll have everything from a microwave and coffeemaker to a dishwasher and oven. Just purchase some fresh seafood and groceries in town and you'll be sitting down to a meal of spicy cioppino or a big pot of mussels in a saffron-tomato-cream sauce. In the mornings, take your coffee out to the front porch or start up the hot tub and begin your day with a soak.

On the main level, the first bedroom has a queen-size bed. Here, you can crack the windows and listen to the ocean lull you to sleep at night. There's also a full bathroom with a tub shower combo. Up the steps, the second bedroom also has a queen bed, lots of windows for natural light, and a serene blue color scheme. This home will comfortably sleep four guests, including your canine friends (though a nightly fee per dog and a minimum fee per stay will apply).

From this prime location in Depoe Bay, you are within easy walking distance to gift shops, art galleries, and coffee shops. Take in the views from the "Spouting Horn", walk along the bay to purchase fresh seafood for dinner, take a Whale watching excursion (during whale watching season - winter and spring - you may even be able to spot whales right from the shore)!

Nearby restaurants include Gracie's Sea Hag for fish and chips and clam chowder, local favorite Tidal Raves Seafood Grill, and for an unforgettable meal, drive the scenic one and a half miles south where James Beard semi-finalist best chef Justin Wills is making quite a splash at Restaurant Beck.

Back at home, a short walk across the street will lead you to a bluff located high on a cliff to truly enjoy epic ocean views and the waves crashing below. You can even see the entrance to the "World's Smallest Harbor" along with lots of sea birds and the occasional whale. From your Depoe Bay getaway, the nearest beach access is at Fogarty State Park about one mile north. Head there for an afternoon of beachcombing, hunting for shells, or playing with the dogs on the beach.

A short 20-minute drive south on Highway 101 will take you to Newport where you can spend all day exploring the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Go north instead for 20 minutes and you'll end up in bustling Lincoln City, home to the Chinook Winds Casino and the Tanger Outlet Mall.

No matter how you spend your time at this cute and charming Depoe Bay vacation rental, your trip to the Oregon Coast will be truly memorable here.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting 'Yes' to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The $20 nightly fee will apply for each additional dog.

Parking Notes: Max. 2 cars allowed at this home. Please park in the gravel parking area. There is no on street parking allowed.

4/5 Good

Great spot
Windows and ocean view are great. Location, spot on. We enjoyed walking across the street to Whale Bites cafe for great coffee and breakfast sandwiches, and over the bridge for more coffee, pastries and souvenirs. The place is a bit musty and tired (might be time to retire one of the couches) but has great character with its wood ceilings and river stone around the old woodstove. Mattresses a bit aged, bedding has a musty smell like old bedding gets...but shower was nice and clean and towels were fluffy. Porch was very nice and neighborhood pleasant.

5/5 Excellent

Nice little house
It’s a cute little house with a decent view of the ocean. The house was clean. We though the hot tub was odd in the living room but it ended up being perfect. The location is an easy walk to the shops in Depoe Bay. The upstairs bedroom gets pretty warm but the ocean breeze from the small window in the room and the skyline in the hall cooled everything down quickly. The kitchen was small but mostly well stocked (need forks) and easy to use. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels. The front pouch had a wonderful view of the ocean. I would suggest bringing your own camping chairs as the two (2) plastic chairs provided are small and not comfortable to sit in for more that a few minutes. We would definitely stay at the this house again.

Great little place.

3/5 Okay

Great Location, Needs a few updates/cleaning
Overall, my wife and the other couple we stayed with really enjoyed the property, particularly the location. The house is definitely on the smaller side, but it was cozy for the four of us and we enjoyed being able to look out and see the ocean and walking on the boardwalk each day as well. The hot tub was a really fun addition inside and fun to relax now and again. However, there are a few things that would have made the experience better. The post talks about a fully stocked kitchen, but there were several things that either needed desperately to be replaced, or just weren't there. For example, there was only one wine glass, all of the sharp knives were far from sharp, and there weren't really any mixing bowls to speak of, particularly at least one large one. We made do with other things, but advertising it as fully stocked is a bit misleading. The hot tub cover really should also be replaced as it is rusty and definitely on the older side. Finally, the entire place could stand with a lot more cleaning. There was dirt/hair all around in the corners and when we moved the couch a little one night, there were crackers and chips and stains, etc., it looked like a deep clean had not been done in quite a while. Overall, we really enjoyed the location and the property as a whole, but there were a few things that would make the entire experience that much better and 5 stars. Thank you.
