"We liked this accommodation a lot. The building had character and the hosts were very gracious and attentive. The breakfast was well-balanced, wholesome and nicely presented. It was a very favourable Cuban experience. After getting oriented to the immediate neighborhood we felt safe as pedestrians navigating the streets. Much more interesting than staying in a 4 or 5 star hotel."

"The property was very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay. Not as centrally located as previous reviews had indicated, and was a fair walk to reach the central tourist area, but it was doable and the hotel is a great value. The atrium between the hotel and the next building can carry a fair amount of noise from the adjacent building…dogs barking and loud voices at night. The noise wasn’t constant, but it did wake us in the early hours overnight one night. Definitely not a dealbreaker though. US dollars are widely accepted but if you need to exchange your money do it at the hotel, it was the best rate we found. Also, download an interactive city map that doesn’t need Wi-Fi to your phone before you go. The APP store doesn’t work once you arrive, even on Wi-Fi and paper maps are almost impossible to find."

"Definitely the best point about this hostal is the staff and the location. The staff help us with absolutely everything we needed and really care about us. The hostal is very close to the capitol, walking distance to most touristic places. Is located on top of a night club so the music and be heard from most of the rooms but it didn't avoid us sleeping, a proof of it is that we actually repeated the stay on the same hostel at the end of the trip for additional three nights. "
