“I understand monies might be limited to keep a landmark building up to our modern standards. But, lumpy creaky mattress, missing light bulbs, a TV/no channels programmed, a simple box of tissues all lacking even after a request placed.
But, all in all a roof over our heads, a good shower facility, a view of the water & Bressay Island, central location for exploring the shops and walking the wonderful town of Lerwick.”

“A very nice room although I found the bed a bit soft. The staff are extremely nice and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent. I ate in the restaurant twice but recommend eating at some of the restaurants in town.”

“We have stayed at the Kveldsro for a week plus on two occasions, and really enjoyed ourselves each time. The hotel is not a new building, but as a result is full of character. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms fairly recently updated. The dining room and many of the bedrooms have a wonderful view over the Lerwick harbour. One of the best aspects is that the hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from Commercial Street, and within easy walking distance of most of the many……

“The location is wonderful, not far from Lerwick in a very quiet spot. Ali gave us very clear instructions and photos of what to look out for as we turned off for South Whiteness and we found it ok. The chalet itself has all the amenities you could wish for. A bathroom with a shower over a bath gives you a choice after a long walk. The kitchen had a kettle, coffee machine, toaster, oven/grill & hob and a fridge freezer - evrything you could need. There was also a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. It……
