“I'm house-hunting in Hudson, so my wife and I have stayed in a few other hotels and B&Bs there. However, one night in Pocketbook and I'll definitely continue booking there. I don't understand the complaints about the noise or rude staff, becauee we experienced the exact opposite. The staff were warm & welcoming, and very friendly. Overnight, it was peaceful and quiet. “We had the room with the balcony. That added space was lovely. However there were dead insects on the bathroom sink when we arrived and stains on some of the towels which really made my daughter uncomfortable with the whole stay”

“The staff is lovely and accommodating. I had booked the only room where pets are allowed though ultimately declined to bring mine. Happy to say there was no evidence a pet had ever stayed there. The room was spotless, tastefully renovated with no sign of wear or tear.
