It is clean, modern, economical, fairly well kept, the staff are nice, you can park for free in their covered parking, they will give you bagged ice, a great beach is a short walk away, there are plenty of bars and restaurants around, its only a few blocks from the Malecon and you have a huge local grocery/department store right across the street which has everything at a good price.
