Gooseberry Trailside Suites - Knife River Suite, offers a relaxing, cozy, and updated place to stay while you explore all the North Shore of Lake Superior has to offer. This property borders Gooseberry State Park, the most popular state park in Minnesota, with access to the Nordic skiing and mountain biking trail system right out the back door. Guest can also jump onto the Gitchi Gami State trail for those who want to bike or rollerblade on a smooth paved trail with access just across the road.

With the close proximity to Gooseberry Falls and Splitrock Lighthouse, as well as Two Harbors, Duluth, and Lutsen, there are year-round opportunities to venture out to go hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, sightseeing, swimming, and much more!

Great for groups both large and small, there are 4 - two-bedroom, one bath apartment style suites on the property that can be reserved individually or together. Great place on the North Shore
We had a fabulous stay at Gooseberry Trailside Suites! Lodgings were clean, beautifully done, with details most places don't do. One detail is liquid hand soap. Bar soap is a germ spreader and gross! There was a nightlight in the bathroom. Multiple quilts/blankets to choose from and any kitchen utensils you'd need. The location is great too. We hiked out the back door to Gooseberry Falls, and explored all up and down the North Shore. Our teenagers appreciated the wifi. I would absolutely stay here again, and would be a great place to rent all 4 units for a family get together.

Very clean location with everything you need. Note: you will hear all footsteps upstairs if you’re in a bottom unit. I’m not sure that you can reserve a top unit specifically unfortunately.

Trails at your door!
Located on the boundary of Gooseberry Falls State Park. Trails for hiking and Nordic skiing in Gooseberry Falls are accessible for the condo. The longest paved section of the Northshore state trail is just across Hwy 61. This is a great trail for bicycling and hiking. Split Rock Lighthouse State Park is just 6 miles north on Hwy 61. Great Location! The condo was clean and well maintained. The host was proactive with possible concerns. We had a great stay and highly recommend Trailside condo.
