Old and TiredPosted Sep 10, 2015
re-built in 1866 after a fire. Still had the same furniture in the room from then. A double bed vs. a queen. The mirror on the dresser had most of the silver off the back. The carpet was at least 30 years old. There were only 2 power plugs in the bedroom. The A/C would not work on high setting- therefore wouldn't keep up. I checked out a day early because I was not satisfied. Can I get a refund for the third day??

A Victorian ExperiencePosted Sep 6, 2015
Location: Go to Lillydale!
If you want a modern hotel, don't book this one. What is the greatest thing about this hotel is its Victorian ambiance. We only found out about the 'Resident Ghost" after the visit, but that made it all the enticing. The façade of the building is gorgeous and after checking in, this is where we spent our evening. One note: don't plan on the continental breakfast. There was instant oatmeal, but no hot water to mix it with. The coffee was unpalatable, and the only fruit in the fruit bowl was a lemon! There were a few stale pastries, but we opted to leave the hotel and go to a proper restaurant. At $200 Canadian for a hotel, I think they could have done better

For the second time, I booked our hotel room through Expedia and the front desk attendant was unaware of our room being booked. This was not a pleasant experience. Yes, it is a very nice, clean and beautiful place but it has been very inconvenient the last 2 times I have booked.

Place looked nothing like pic on Internet.Posted Aug 15, 2015
The room was large. Other than that, it had nothing going for it. Couldn't get air to work and the phone in the room didn't work. Shower not working correctly. Small sink outside of toilet and shower area was way to small and couldn't be used at the same time the shower was. Price was outrageously overpriced for no amenities. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Old but nicePosted Jul 13, 2015
We were in need of a hotel for a concert at the Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park, NY. Everything closer to the stadium was sold out. We found this hotel about a half hour away from the stadium. The price was reasonable so we booked it. It is a quaint but old inn. Everything was clean and fairly comfortable. We didn't spend much time there besides sleeping and it served the purpose.

Not a B&BPosted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: Location and spacious rooms.
Cons: The elevator was very old and very small. We had to drag luggage to the third floor. Very challenging for me at 70. Breakfast should be included.
Location: Very central and convenient.
This very nice older home was fun to stay in. Staff was very nice and very accommodating. We did assume this was a B&B and would include breakfast but that was not the case. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated being able to walk most places. A bit over priced.

Quite a pleasant overnight stay. We were able to just walk in and get a room.
