We (2 adult couples) loved our stay at this home. The location was very private and quiet. The house looks great in the ad but we were pleasantly surprised that it was even better in person. Nice and bright! Decor was modern yet comfortable. The beds were cozy too! Lots and lots of games to enjoy. Lots of room to spread out for quiet time but also great spaces to enjoy each other's company. We took advantage of the fire pit with a nice fire. Loved the Adirondack chairs! Amazingly quick response from the owner when we emailed them with questions. This home will be on the top of our list if we find ourselves back in the area.

Great place near the park
The location is great. From the maps it looked more remote. Grocery store and restaurants are 10 minute easy drive. The house is secluded in the woods but only the last mile is wooded. Perfect escape with accessibility. 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom are upstairs. The other bathroom, kitchen and living room are downstairs. It worked out fine for us. Beautiful view of stars at night. Comfortable and very clean. I have many allergies and was not bothered at all! Very enjoyable stay!

Lovely Weekend getaway with family
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the house was larger than expected. Nice and quiet property on the mountain. Very peaceful just as we wanted. We will definitely come back. The only complaint we had would be the showers were horrible. No pressure at all and the shower heads were at about 20%. Other than that I definitely recommend staying here if you’re up that way or just want to get away to a nice, quiet setting.

Great home base for exploring the area
This clean, comfortable home is a great place to stay when visiting the Shenandoah Valley of VA between Winchester and Harrisonburg. The home is located just outside of Mount Jackson, VA which is a quaint family-oriented town nestled in the mountains along the I-81 corridor. FYI - The best way to see all the small towns is to stay on Rt 11 which parallels 81 going through the town centers. You'll have everything you need at the home from modern appliances to wi-fi and streaming TV. It was very nice sitting out on the back deck drinking coffee, reading a book, surfing the internet, etc. The Shenandoah Caverns are a quick 10-minute drive away. (I actually liked them better than Luray Caverns as they were far less commercialized). There is also a great deal of civil war related history along the valley which is very interesting if you're a "history nerd" like me. All in all, if you're thinking about visiting this neck of the woods I highly recommend considering this home.

Sweet and peaceful
As other guests have noted, this property is wonderful for families! It is also a truly relaxing place, and had its magic--fireflies in the evenings, birdsong through the day, beautiful woods beyond the big backyard. We had difficulty saying goodbye!

Virginia Vacation
My family and I decided to rent a home while traveling to Edinburg VA. This vacation home was everything, love the upgrades, it's a very beautiful home and catered to the needs of my family. The only thing that my family did not like was the beds were not comfortable to them, the bugs outside was horrible. The rest of the trip was simply amazing. When traveling to Edinburg I will sure rent at this location again. I can't say it enough this is a very beautiful home. I'd give it a 10 stars if I could??

Excellent getaway!
We were looking for a cabin-esk escape to unplug and this was the perfect place! It’s quaint and surrounded by woodland, so you get the feeling of seclusion. The house is much larger on the inside than it may seem. If you want a nice and quiet escape then look no further!

Great getaway near Shenandoah
We had a great family getaway to the Shenandoah region for 2 nights in November. The house was in a quiet area with clean rooms, games for the kids and well stocked kitchen area. The house location was perfect for our short trips to Luray Caverns and Massanutten resort. The host was very responsive with answers to our questions and we really enjoyed the stay. Would stay there again! Thanks!

Phenomenal Stay!
The house is gorgeous, and in a great location. It is close enough to town but far enough for privacy. The house was very clean and had everything we needed and more! The only recommendation I have is more towels as we had trouble finding enough for the 5 people we had staying there. The coffee bar and fire pit are a huge bonus as well. Checking in and out was also very easy. Overall 10/10 stay!

Weekend Family Trip
A beautiful home in a very quiet neighborhood. The house is very clean, spacious, and has many of the necessities you need for your stay. It has a great yard with a fire pit and grill (wish it wasn't raining all weekend so we could enjoy it). Easy check-in and check-out process (just show up and leave). The house is located just 15 minutes from Shanandoah Caverns and about 30 minutes from James Madison University. We will definitely rent again when we come into the area to visit our JMU student.
