The view from the hotel is unbeatable and it’s a great location just a short walk into the town. The guy on reception when we checked in was really friendly and helpful. The spa facilities are probably the best I’ve experienced in Scotland unfortunately it’s so busy you can’t really enjoy them. The ...
A gem of a hotel. Well appointed a service of a very high standard. Staff are very nice and professional. Only slight disappointment is the practice of adding a 12% discretionary payment to drinks and food, not something I agree with. However, despite this I would definitely stay again.
We live locally and we stayed one night as we were moving house and wanted a rest between emptying one house filling the new one. We knew about the golf course but not about the accommodation. We were very impressed with the staff, the facilities and the cost.
I booked here as we were spending a day at the zoo. We like walking and this was about 1mile from the zoo and 2 miles into the grassmarket area of Edinburgh. We also walked about 1 mile to a cinema complex and lots of places to eat around haymarket train station and murrayfield. The hotel itself ...
We had such a wonderful stay. The bus routes stop just outside the property and the overall area is wonderful and very inviting. We hope to return and will stay at Pollock Halls again.
Great hotel, in the centre of town. Only a short stroll to the beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and cooked up a delicious breakfast. The restaurant was busy both for dinner and breakfast with hotel guests and the general public so clearly has a good reputation. Would definitely ...
From the moment we entered reception the staff were first class.Nice warm friendly greeting was mirrored by the warm room that we were given. We went to the bar for some lunch and the lady behind the bar could not have been more helpful. The hotel is well situated and as we both like a walk the stroll ...
Anjou and Thomas were very welcoming. Helpful with directions. B&B very clean and comfortable. Quiet. Shared bathroom was only draw back. Couples were very nice and ckean. Our room was all om one level . Easy access if anyone had mobility issues
Made to feel very welcome and the staff went out of their way to help us. A very late delivery by TNT made us lose a job, but the staff at Buckstone helped with calls and continued plying us with drinks during our very long wait. When next in the area, we will definitely stay again.
Only stayed for the night and did not even have time for the breakfast. However, the room appeared to be comfortable & clean though the stairs to the top floor was a bit steep and narrow.
Stayed one night only. Overall a reasonable hotel, staff were very friendly smelt a little fishy (kippers) as we walked into the reception, room was okay if a little small, breakfast was quite good. Although we didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening the menu looked very good.
