Getting around Edmonton

You may want to rent a car in Edmonton for more flexibility, but it’s not necessary, as most of the city is covered by a reliable public transportation system. Take the city bus to get around, or make use of the Light Rail Transit (LRT). Buses and trains are affordable and fairly frequent. Best time to visit

Summers in Edmonton can get very busy, but they undoubtedly have the best weather, with daytime temperatures of around 62 F (17 C). There are plenty of festivals and events to enjoy in the warmer months, too. For a more peaceful break, visit in late spring instead. Daytime temperatures at this time of year tend to be in the low 50s F (28 C and below), so do make sure you pack warm clothes.
