Beautiful Place to Explore Barcelona From!Posted Aug 11, 2017
Pros: Everything! Staff, rooms, food, location, everything!
Cons: One tiny, tiny gripe. There was shampoo and bodywash in the bathrooms but no hair conditioner. Only a small thing but would have been good to have.
Location: It's located in a brilliant position, quiet but at the heart of so much. Perfect.
Keep your eyes peeled when you arrive at ANBA as you can easily walk past the entrance (as I did!) and miss this hidden gem. It's situated on the 1st floor of an old apartment block above shops at street level and there is only a small brass plaque on the doorway to indicate you've found it! The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the "centre" of the city that is Placa de Catalunya and there is a Metro stop and great bus links directly outside the hotel. The Aero Bus to and from T1 and T2 of El Prat airport is also located in Placa de Catalunya. La Rambla is a short walk away too and most of the city is easily accessed from this great central location. The hotel itself is small but really well equipped, the dining area and amenities that are available are a really nice touch. There is also a great terrace area if you want to relax with a drink and enjoy the warm nights. The rooms themselves are lovely and provide all you need for a great stay. The bathrooms are well proportioned and our room was really spacious and comfy. The staff were so polite and friendly, they really couldn't be faulted. There are some great touches too, like umbrellas in case the weather is a little too hot or wet!

Surprise Lovely Boutique Place to StayPosted Jul 20, 2017
Pros: Charm and character. It is very stylish and comfortable.
Cons: Street signage and having a porter.
Location: Location is good with a taxi rank and metro at the door step and for those who like walking as we do It's within reasonable walking distance to sites.
We arrived by car and it was hard to find as we were looking for an Hotel and expected to see some street signage for ANBA but there wasn't any. After walking the street numbers I found the entry with an intercom that clearly states B&B. My heart sank as I thought I have really made a mistake and it sank further as I found no attendee in the foyer and got into the smallest old lift to the tiny first floor lobby. I buzzed on the door that said ANBA and pushed it open. Well how surprised was I to be greeted by an exceptionally elegant and artistically decorated, sophisticated space and a very charming and friendly hostess Naomi. We had been travelling for 5 weeks so we had large baggage and quite a lot of it so getting it up to the room was a bit of an exercise (no luggage drop zone or street parking available and no Porter to help) same problem on leaving. This is the only problem and only complaint we have of ANBA which I think could be easily overcome by letting people know what to expect or better still if they could just give a hand with the luggage, even if that is just keeping an eye on it while you get the car and load up. One thing for sure in Barcelona is you can't leave your bags unattended for a minute. ANBA is beautifully furnished and the room we had was lovely, comfortable and clean. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much. The Parking station around the corner offers day rates so go to the office at the entry.

Cute boutique hotel in a nice locationPosted Mar 30, 2017
Pros: I really like that your key gets you in and out of the building. Gives you the feel that you have your own apartment in the city.
Although our room was pretty small it was beautiful, comfortable, and even had a small balcony overlooking the street. The location was great, being close to the metro. Although we spent a lot of our time in the gothic quarter or barconeleta, which is quite a way away from the hotel, we made it work between the metro or just walking(we needed long walks after all the late night tapas we had). The staff was very helpful in helping plan our daily activities. Especially Mabel, she went above and beyond to help these Barcelona first timers. The breakfast, although fairly simple, was delicious.

Nice B&B with great staffPosted May 3, 2016
The breakfast was great. Cooked eggs, fresh fruit and fresh squeezed OJ and lots of things and coffee. The rooms were newly decorated and there was a common living room. The staff were very helpful in suggesting things to do and places to eat. Overall very high marks 9+.

Anba Bed and Breakfast BarcelonaPosted Feb 22, 2016 on Hotels
Hotel was lovely and distinctive. Staff were extremely helpful even down to arranging shuttle and from airport and tickets to tour bus and attractions. We were made to feel extremely welcome. Breakfast is lovely with good choice and sets you up for the day. Decor in the hotel is beautiful. We would definitely head straight to Anba again if going to Barcelona.

great place to stay in BarcelonaPosted Sep 10, 2015
Pros: friendly and helpful staff, they contacted us via email before we arrived to make sure we know how to get there!
Location: right next to the metro stop, about 5 minutes walk to Catalunya plaza, we walked to the Rambla and also the Casa Batllo and Casa Mila...
this is a great place for couples, business travelers, adults only. super friendly staff, nice room, convenient location, the breakfast buffet was great and they offered a la carte hot dishes too. our room has a huge bath tub we did not try, but it looks enticing, the shower works well too. the sink in the bathroom was nice and huge! metro L1 and L4 stop is right outside, Catalunya plaza is an easy 5 minute walk. we could have taken bus 24 right outside the hotel to Park Guell but we took metro and transfered unnecessarily. recommendations from staff on restaurants were great!
