1.8 mile hike back and the trail opens up to this. Absolutely beautiful surroundings.
Waterlust for sure. Sat in the dunes for a couple hours before heading to campsite. Took it all in, quite relaxing.
I always enjoy this place. It's a great area to pitch a tent and just get out and explore.
Part of Manistee National Forest, and the Nordhouse Dunes. On Lake Michigan. Great hiking and general camping and relaxing. Easy to be alone on a beautiful beach. Used to be relatively unknown, now overcrowded on weekends.
