It’s a lovely old hotel. I’ve driven by a few times and always wondered what it was like inside. It didn’t disappoint!
Beautiful old floors and woodwork. Nothing cookie cutter.
The bar is gorgeous, but the sound did not penetrate-even with a band playing.
Room was clean, plenty of towels and temperature control was quick to change, so very comfortable
If you like old buildings this is for you
Only one word of caution. You do have to carry your bag up a staircase, so don’t overpack!

The guy restocking the buffet, I think his name was Chad, was really hustling to keep everyone happy. Front desk help was pleasant and helpful. Indoor pool was nice. Could be a little warmer. The desk clerk was so, kind, friendly and accommodating. From the moment we checked in to the time we checked out.
Our room was spacious and very clean. I didn't have to ask for anything because the automatically provided extra pillow, blankets and towels. They had free tea, coffee and hot chocolate with free breakfast for all days. Shady Maple was only 7 minutes away as were many great places to get local offerings. Will definitely stay there again.
