The "Dolphin Dive" is a direct waterfront private island property on Vacation Island Playground in Grant, Fl 32929, with instant access to Florida's famous Intracoastal Waterway. This waterfront paradise is located between the thriving city of Melbourne Beach Fl to the North and the slower paced town of Sebastian to the South. Just minutes to shops and dining options, the "Dolphin Dive" is the perfect vacation destination for those looking to enjoy gorgeous sunsets, abundant marine wildlife while gazing at the magnificent parade of powerboats, yachts and sailboats that glide by just yards from this peaceful and serene vacation oasis.
This private island house is only accessible by water. Launch your boat at Christensen's Landing BOAT RAMP 1/2 mile away or RENT a pontoon boat from one of the link listed below and enjoy a long weekend of waterfront living on this secluded island in the Indian River Lagoon. If you don't own a boat use our ISLAND WATER TAXI , the initial ride to the island and return at checkout is included in the rental fee. Extra fare will be charged for island to shore excursions at a rate of $50/hr for daytime and $60/hr after dark to be paid in CASH at time of service. $15-20 is typical tender costs for one trip for about 20-30 min of time to get a group on and off island. If you have a large group that requires two trips, Tender time may be more like 45 min total so about $30. Tender can typically handle approximately 5 to 6 people with basic gear per trip and must be scheduled a day in advance. Park at county boat ramps, just south of Sunoco gas station for Water Taxi pickup or Christensen's Landing just North of Sunoco gas station to launch you boat. Parking is free but can be crowded on weekends and/or holidays.
Just a 15-minute boat-ride from Sebastian Inlet/Ocean access for World class offshore fishing. River fishing in the Lagoon with a boat, SUP, kayak, or just off the dock. The decks face to the west where you can catch some of the most magnificent sunsets in the area!
The "Dolphin Dive" enjoys a fully equipped covered outdoor bar with full size fridge, ice machine and TV overlooking the Indian River and has easy access to the large boat dock. Float around in the 5-person hot tub, chat with friends at the bar watching your favorite sports game or just hang out around the dock and kayak, swim or fish for trout, redfish, snook and much more. Dolphins are in abundance as well as Manatees which love to swim around the dock and provide a true glimpse of nature's wonders.
DOGS are welcome, but they must stay in fenced yard or on a leash when walking around the island. Please cleanup after your pets. We charge a small pet fee of $50. Please note, damaged carpets or other home furnishings will be charged against damage deposit.
Dock can handle multiple boats with drafts of 3 to 4 feet maximum. Main slip can handle boat lengths up to 35 feet with maximum beam of 13 feet. Two mooring poles are available on North side of dock. As in many areas along the Indian River Lagoon the mosquitoes and sand flies can be out and worse in the evenings along beaches and shorelines. The best prevention is to pack bug spray repellent.
All towels and linens are provided. For our Guests' convenience there is also a washer and dryer. The "Dolphin Dive” has an outdoor covered second floor sitting area for 10 people which includes a water view eating area , complete with tables, chairs, and outdoor grill. Enclosed outdoor shower with hot water is provided for quick cleanup between recreational activities. We also offer complimentary tandem kayak and Paddle Board.
The "Dolphin Dive" is 8 miles south of Melbourne Beach with its numerous beaches, eclectic shopping, and a wide variety of excellent restaurants. The Kennedy Space Center in nearby Cape Canaveral is the perfect Day Trip.
4 miles south of the "Dolphin Dive" is Sebastian Florida known for its 'Old Florida' feel, where the pace is slow and the traffic easy to navigate. Sebastian is also home to a 4-mile Riverwalk, numerous waterfront restaurants and several waterfront parks. Open air concerts are offered at the Sebastian Waterfront from January through June. Sebastian Inlet is a hidden gem with its uncrowded and unspoiled beaches and sandbars that offer perfect fishing, swimming, snorkeling and surfing. The Inlet Park also offers gorgeous walking trails and has a delightful oceanfront restaurant.
