Ample parking for toy haulers ! Close to Forest Dunes and MANY other challenging courses for the golf enthusiast . Bring your kayak for hours of quiet relaxing fishing! Fire pit and wood for smores!

Nothing Fancy is the perfect name for this nothing fancy home
After booking the property, Kim gave me her number to reach out for any questions. A few days before check in i reached out, she answered any questions. She even sent me more photos than what were listed in the listing!. On check in day, she let me know the check in process which I relayed to my group. My dad and his wife arrived first and she introduced herself and gave the ins and outs of the property which my dad relayed that info to the rest of the group when we arrived. The house is extremely cute and cozy. Kim even turned the air on for us prior to arrival so it is cool inside. Kim lives in the home next door and was always there if we needed anything (wasn’t overbearing or nosey like some hosts can be when they live next to the property). We even found a phone in the river on our canoe trip and she brought over a bag of rice for us to dry the phone out! The river the barn was on is a fishing river but the kids and their parents went on the paddle boat and row boat to go fishing. The kids even jumped in the water to swim! There was nearly everything you need to stay in a home away from home (condiments, seasonings, extra towels, shampoo/conditioner/soap etc.). The home is very warm and inviting. I loved the cabin feel it had too! Definitely recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a cute cozy place to stay that’s near Houghton or Higgins Lake.

Great time had by all 7 of us.
It was easy to find. No problems with the Cottage or surrounding area. Very friendly property managers. Had a great time, campfires at night. Outside to grill, ca.pfire pit, and lots of woods with trails.
